I have one and first check after buy it the oil was like 8 cm over the line😂 long story short, my bike has now a crankshaft failure and many other failures 💀 the pre owner told me he made everything new in the Engine
Im guessing when he changed the oil he forgot to loosen one of the drain plugs, and then we he put the “correct” amount back in it was really way too much. It happened many years ago to my friend who I sold my 426 too. He blew the head gasket along with other shit. Not sure why it would cause a crank failure though. Thats unfortunate!
@@frankiemarchese2978 when there's too much oil it causes a pretty significant increase in oil pressure which would blow out any pressurized seals or bearings such as the crankshaft bearings.
@@sahibdipsandhu That sounds expensive lol I guess from the pressure the bearings seize? And then from there its just a matter of what else decides to break
I have a wr426f flywheel/stator in the bike. I run the lights through a tusk wiring kit, tusk tail light, tusk blinkers, chinese led head light, they are very reliable. They still work great
Mobil 1 full synthetic 10w 40. HiFlo oil filters 👍 I never had an issue with either. My 05 wr450f has 126 hours since rebuild. I do 5 hour intervals on the oil, I assume they will run as long as I keep it clean, maintain valve last, and don’t rev bomb it
