Assuming that the purpose of these topics and circuit lessons, in general, is hardware design (if I understand correctly), what does this step& impulse response in reality mean? And what is its use?
Prof. mentioned that step response is like turning on switch. So if your hardware is a RC circuit, you should see an output similar to the step response after switch on. Same applies to impulse response where you need to give a spike input.
