The 2nd displayed drill for 2024 (which they were all picked in the order by random) is for Little Cypress - Mauriceville High School from Orange, Texas. Orange is as far southeast as you can get in the state of Texas. It is about 20 miles east of Beaumont and 45 miles west of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Their director is Israel Castaneda. This is the first time I have done their show. They are a 4A UIL classified school in Region 10.
Their show is entitled Song of the Sirens and it is by Key Poulan. It is in 5 acts which are titled The Distant Song, Dawn of the Tall Ship, Daybreak, Enter the Fog, and The Sirens Devour All On Board.
The drill was written for 94 band members including 73 winds. It has 45 sets. This show was completed on August 21.
