So my 02 F350 Superduty 7.3 Powerstroke has had electrical issues since I bought it, the windows would randomly decide not to roll up or down, the horn decided to blow while I was coming up behind a cop and he thought I was out of control, that wasn't the case but it was a comical situation because Jax was looking at me then the dash while I'm trying to figure out who was the idiot with the horn blowing🤣. my wipers sometimes would work I found out by turning the heat on defrost that everything would almost work until it got cold or rained

It’s crazy I just came across this video randomly, I had to do the same exact thing last week! I blew all the water out of the fuse panel for a good hour, then sprayed the shit out of the inside with contact cleaner then blew it out again! My excursion couldn’t be happier lol.

I also recommend taking a post office bubble wrap envelope,a dog food bag of whatever you can make work.I slit that envelope on one side and wrapped it completely around the fuse panel then used that foil ac duct work tape around that to keep it safe and dry. I also wrapped the ecm they cost to much and cause to many issues when they get moisture in them. Thanks for watching

Wow! You went in elbows deep! Lol! I've taken the top cover off and fixed loose.fuse connections. Crazy how much is inside one of those panels. Hope it gets you back working!

I need to call you I have a relay in the bottom two holes under dash that have a spade missing there wasn't a male end inside that fuse panel for me to push the female spade in to so now everything is working except my windows which would randomly work before, question is did the truck that the fuse panel came out of have power windows? Do they make a relay that only has four blades instead of 5? When I push the drivers side buttons for window there's a top small relay that clicks the fuse panel you gave me only had one relay and several open fuses so I filled them all in with the spades from my fuse panel but those two bottom are missing a spade

There is a video on taking the fuse box apart, cleaning it, and re-assembling it. Looked fairly easy. It wasn't. I did successfully do it, but don't recommend it to anyone. Many of the tracks come loose when disassembling it and bend. Easy to straighten, but they don't necessarily stay put when popped back in. They particularly like to pop out during re-assembly. The biggest pain was to find no corrosion or water inside. I did all that for nothing. Also should mention I had a hard time removing the fuse-box. Once it was out and I saw it more clearly, it wasn't bad to put back in. To remove, don't remove anything right away. Do it in this order: Remove the two connectors on the back loosening the 10mm bolts (many, many turns). Remove the relays. Then remove the two top mounting bolts and the two bottom nuts. Wiggle the box around a bit so you can release and remove the two gray plugs on the side. The box can then be slid down and out. For my truck, I had to jam a stick between the seat and the clutch pedal to make more room. PS. After 30 years of SKOAL Straight, I finally quit 15 months ago. I still miss it from time to time.

I totally agree! But it's so much cheaper to buy a good sealed reconditioned unit on eBay in my opinion

My current 7.3 lost dash for some reason. Still has dummy lights come on but tach pegs and everything is showing zero. Still runs and shifts great

I'm pretty sure that's a different franchise but I can't get a straight answer from Google it says the first one was in Wheelersburg oh 30min across the Ohio river from me it says 120 locations in 6 states so it very well could be the same, the logo has a white guy with black mustache and hair chef guy holding a pepperoni pizza on one hand. Thanks for watching and subscribe if you haven't I'm going to try and make this channel something better than it is now more truck and heavy haul content push the limits of the truck and trailer soon

Note: this vid refers to the very early 2002 [june-july 2001].. which was essentially a 2001. The August 2001 and later built 2002 does NOT have a GEM... it has a Central Junction Box [CJB] where the GEM used to be. ..and unfortunately, the CJB causes lots of gremlins also.

There's a 2016 6.7 for sale $16,000, 4wd 6sp auto in Florida. Appears to run fine. I thought that was pretty cheap. But it's got 900k miles 😕. Probably not much for a 6.7 lol. I wonder what the machine shop would charge to inspect it. Then the total cost to rebuild and put the truck back together? 🤔 Might be better than buying new

You can buy a low mile 6.7 engine cheaper on eBay than having all that done. The Ford garage here has only seen one 6.7 come in with 1 million on the counter and still counting, he said he thinks the only reason is from stringent maintenance with the oil being changed exactly at 3,500 miles he said the guy was very religious about it. The truck was deleted early in it's life when he bought it new and voided the warranty, it's a '16 model never had the fuel below a 1/2 tank used hotshots fuel treatment every tank and never pulled anything with it just been driven everyday traveling for work. I personally see these trucks cheap after 140,000+ miles on them. Which deters me for the long run dependability

@@scottbaker4314 ok. You think the 7.3 outshines the 6.7 in longevity? Or at least longer intervals between rebuilds? I think you've proved the 7.3 is a much more forgiving engine 😂 and yes, when comparing the two you have to consider the 6.7 as egr-deleted at the very least, which voids the warranty? What a crock
