I agree completely. It takes me back to the sensibility of my youth when films would mesmerize me & transport me to another time & space within my imagination. So sweet, surreal & brilliant is this film that it's possible for me to watch it again & again. The soundtrack is perfectly scored like a lullaby which matches the visually exquisite fairy tale!
This radiates such a child-like, magical aura while still retaining an ominous, dark, intriguing atmosphere. One of the best scores I've had the pleasure to listen to.
This movie is amazing. Just after a couple of minutes after I started watching it, I literally got out of the couch and sat down near the tv like I was really young. I was so intrigued. This movie looks like if a kid tells you about a big nightmare he had.
Una película perfecta. La vi cuando salió en el '95. Yo tenía 10 años y realmente la ame. La historia, los personajes, los escenarios y la musica. No entiendo por que ha caído en el olvido. Saludos desde Acapulco, México 🇲🇽
One of my favorite movies and the soundtrack is simply dreamlike. Angelo Badalamenti is my favorite soundtrack composer. Everything he does is fantastic and wonderfully heavy in mood. I love it.
Yes yes yes! It was my favorite as a kid, reminiscing on it now gives me the deepest feelings of nostalgia, I think I'm going to watch it again soon when the time is right.
I watch movie after movie, I love movies but something special about this movie. Reminds me of the freedom to think whatever you want as a child. The funny thing is you can imagine anything else happening in the crazy universe of the film. Bleak but beautiful, childish but matured. I love it and I love this thene
That moment you find a chilling horror movie trailer in the funniest comedy movie of all time, and you get curious enough to do hardcore research on the movie and music. Mayhap purchasing and watching this movie on iTunes is now a must. I love it when music helps you find an easily classic movie.
Once upon a time there was an inventor so gifted, that he could create life, a truly remarkable man. Since he had no wife or children, he started to make them in his laboratory. He started with his wife and fashioned her into the most beautiful princess in the world. Alas a wicked genetic fairy cast a spell on the inventor, so much so that the princess was only knee height. He then cloned six children in his own image. Faithful, hard working, they were so alike no one could tell them apart but fate tricked him again giving them all sleeping sickness. Craving someone to talk to, he grew in a fishtank. Poor migraine ridden brain, and then at last he created his masterpiece. More intelligent than the most intelligent man on earth but alas the inventor made a serious mistake, while his creation was intelligent he too had a defect he never ever had a dream. You can’t imagine how quickly he grew old, because he was so unhappy! Then the poor masterpiece became so crazed that he believed a single tear drop could save him. And after committing many cruel deeds he died a horrible death never knowing what it is to dream.
I know it's different but check out Amon Tobin - Bloodstone or Amon Tobin - Big Furry Head. Not the same genre/style but it's very atmopsheric as well. :)
Faudra nous expliquer ta lecture parce que que tu n'ai pas aimé c'est une chose, mais de la à dire que c'est destiné ou que ça plait uniquement au "bobo" ça me parait juste complement absurde voir completement hors sujet mais bon...
