If there's a consistently better pop band in the world than Interpol, then I haven't heard them. Paul Banks has the power that Jim Morrison only aspired to and Ian Curtis also achieved.
El Pintor is an amazingly great album. Superb from beginning to end and I'm not sure but I think I've listened to it more than any of their other albums and I own them all.
