That's what I'm saying! It has its cheesy lines here and there and it's a total manpower rush so some people might not appreciate it. What's not to love?
I mean, there is no shame in loving Commando, it perfectly represents 80's action movies. Even though I had a total blast watching it, I couldn't deny that it's not a good movie. It's definitely a guilty pleasure
KHAOE1 well yeah it’s one of those so bad it’s good movies Logic thrown out of the window Nothing makes sense It’s very over the top entertaining Cheesy Cheesy one liners Its one of those films where you switch your brain of to enjoy I mean for fuck sake you got John matrix going up against 100 guys and not getting shot That’s a check for a so bad it’s good movie
You imagine if a movie came out nowadays like this movie and had $1 billion budget to spend on explosions and practical effects instead of just another superhero CGI movie with $1 billion budget lol 🤷♂️☯️
I can't believe how old I've become! I was in elementary school when I saw this movie first. And now I'm almost 50. Where have all the years gone??? This was one of the movies that got me into pumping weights. Now I do 250 pushups a day. For about 3 months now. I intend to keep it up. One love to all reading this!!!
God. I remember back in elementary I would return home from school and put the commando VHS tape in the VCR and watch it literally every day. Then do a couple of pushups and try painting my face with whatever ...
I’ll honestly never forget watching this for the first time with my granddad when I was like 8 seeing Arnold run across the screen hunting the people who took Jenny while playing this amazing soundtrack in the background Arnold became one of my idols from that day fourth
it incorporates every single aspect of the movie. every single tone and instrument can be attributed to a character of the film of ambient and even wardrobes . iconic
as a postal worker people played lots of tunes around the holidays. I even played I2I when picking up packages from ToysRUs but Xmas eve...when you are the last of the volunteers that stay till the post office is EMPTY . . . . I blasted film scores and THIS score is part of the mix. Trust me . . .driving an LLV on xmas eve making sure every kid gets their xmas present goes a LOT faster when you her this stuff ;) Ozzy? Ha! John Matrix!
I like how this film cemented Arnold as a heroic action star than a villain or anti hero. He’s big, kind, and tactical...that’s why we loved Arnie. Plus he showed in future films he could be funny and emote more.
Arnolds best film, due to a number of factors, including the fantastic work on the sound track. It's a very close race for that top spot, and it's probably Horner's work that cements it.
The sense of urgency and the brief moment of tranquility that many of James Horner's compositions known for, but course the steel drums. Always the steel drums...
I remember asking my parents to buy me this movie at the flea market as a kid because i thought it was the predator movie but it was just as awesome, it even had bill duke (mac) in it so that was awesome
Готовлю завтрак под эту музыку, одеваюсь на работу под эту музыку, убиваю злодеев под эту музыку, чищу зубы под эту музыку и даже слушаю эту музыку, под эту музыку.
The most epic music ever for petting a deer and sharing ice-cream shenanigans with your obviously-adopted daughter that still exudes the energy that she is indeed **your** daughter.
When i was young i always believed that the song of 48 hours and commando was the same...it was very curious but later i understood that these 2 songs were differents but composited by the same guy, Mr James Horner. RIP
Great action score by the late and great James horner. This is one of his most exceptional scores, previous he was none mostly for his lush, romantic and action scores such as his 2 Star trek scores and his knockout Krull score(which is by far my favorite score by him) There was no lushness and romance in his Commando score which is a straight forward all action and aggressive score just like his 48hrs score previous. Which both are real similar in style. James had so many hit scores and im so thankful to have been left behind such great and memorable work by him. Commando commands one of his most explosive scores and to have this marvelous soundtrack in my James horner CD collection is a real genuine honor!
Despite that this track is just a part of soundtrack which doesn't even have lyrics whenever someone mentions Commando this is the track that immediately comes to mind.
The fact that they casted Rae Dawn Chong as opposed to other huge upcoming stars like Sharon Stone, Kathleen Turner, Brigitte Nielsen, Michelle Pfeiffer, Meg Ryan, Heather Locklear or Goldie Hawn made this movie's "good guy" couple the best it could have been. Plus Rae was hot in this movie.
I like the steel drums, always makes me laugh when i hear it. Got that Florida feel about it.. not that i'm from there, or an american, but it just got that heat about it
