By the way, I'm watching your Differential Equations Tutor DVD and it's GREAT! Thanks a lot, Jason! You're AWESOME!

@ 2:30 , isn't that pin out on the right side ( from 5 thru 8 ) upside down? Doesn't pin 5 begin at the bottom right corner?

That certainly should be the case. Especially when you also draw the notch of the chip, you should respect the numbering too. And that's always counterclockwise... And the worse thing is, the function of the pins is also incorrect. That's a pity because these courses are awesome!

what device and software are you using to present your content?

why is there no ("-") negative supply for output?? where does it go to pin 2 (neg of audio in) or pin 4(neg of power supply)?

THE PIN OUT ON THE RIGHT SIDE IS UPSIDE DOWN.

@@Setwhattt That is totally incorrect. If that were the case, the globe would have exploded already! Each and every 741 device that is made by different manufacturers _will_ have the same layout. How would you otherwise be able to exchange broken 741 devices in a circuit with one from another manufacturer? That's pure nonsense what you're telling...

@@Setwhattt I don't know where you get this statement from but that doesn't fit any logical reasoning. Anyways, the proof of the pudding is in the eating, right? Especially for you, I dug into the archives of several manufacturers that have been making (or still make) this "mother of all op-amps" (maybe you will disagree with that one too?). I looked into www.alldatasheets.com and found at least 5 (ex)manufacturers of the uA741, DIL version (that's what we're talking about if we want to have an exchangeable device, right?). Note that the uA 741 was first introduced in 1967!!! 1. Datasheet of Harris, dated May 10, 1979 (revisited August 1991) 2. Datasheet of Texas Instruments, dated May 1998 (revisited October 2015) 3. Datasheet of Intersil, dated September 1998 4. Datasheet of National Semiconductors, dated May 1998 5. Datasheet of Fairchild Semiconductors, dated 1999 Guess what? All have the same pin layout for the DIL (or DIP, whatever your preference is) package. Of course, they have! As a manufacturer, you would be more that stupid to deviate from the standard layout. You would never sell a single piece of your device. How could you ever achieve interchangeability between different brands if you don't stick to the standard pin layout? You really have to revisit your thoughts about this and stop confusing other readers...

The pinout is correct but the numbers 5 to 8 are upside down.
