Absolutely love learning from you. I am online though and would love some more clarity on what direction to go from each video. If they could link the previous and next video in the description or at the end of the video it would help immensely. I just jumped from defining basic terminology to this. lol

Awesome instruction … the explanations for why this is important is very helpful to put it into context for more difficult conversions later. Thank you 🙏🏼

Please, can you give a general idea of the physical size of a mole of something off of the Periodic table. Could I hold it in my hand or would I need a big box? Thank you for a very good video.

Idk if you still need an answer, but if you take 12g of carbon (like 12g coal for example) it'll be exactly 1 mole and in these 12g of coal there'll be 6.02*10²³ particles (atoms of carbon). However 1 mole weights different depending on a substance. If you for example take 1 mole of pure gold (6.02*10²³ atoms of gold) and measure its weight you'll get 197g. That's because each atom of gold weights more than the one of carbon. Hope that's understandable.

I am a physician, and I like to prank / pimp residents during rounds. Once while rounding I was talking about putting in a consult for a specialist. I asked “ does anyone have Avogadro’s number?” Residents started looking up in the list of consultants. “Not in the list doctor” A medical student trying to impress by his initiative made a call to the staff office… 😮 He comes back and tells the group, “I called the staff office, they told me he didn’t come to work today” I ROLLED MY EYES AND SAID “It’s 6.02 x10^23!!”

The extra molar mass of hydrogen for example comes from the occasional presence of extra neutrons in the nucleus correct?

What's the significance of moles being 6.022 x 10^23. It's such a random number.
