I have a 99 Yamaha Wolverine. I have had problems similar to yours. I eventually found a pinhole in the large diaphragm in the top of the carb that controls the needle position. I put some rubber cement on both sides of the pinhole to plug it back up and now it runs fine. Hope it helps.
Either a bad compression leak or you need to replace yoir diaphram, or your timing could be slippin way off, happened tonme once and I lost sooo much power. Carb could also be dirty
Check the parking brake connection. Release both the top and bottom connection for the parking break on the left handle grip. Happens periodically. Low power when pushing the throttle.
mine does the same thing like it doesnt climb any hills and will act like it wants to bog down if you try to make it go up a hill idk what the problem is it runs and climbs fine in cold weather but during the summer its useless
Not sure if anyone will still see this but my Wolverine 350 seems like it revs up but cant hammer it in any gear to go fast or it sits there revving and not moving
did u check the valves every year they need to be checked my bike would bog when i drove it i fixed the valves runs mint plus i dont swamp or mud with it
did anybody figure out this problem I have the same exact problem with my 2003 Wolverine i unplugged the parking brake and that helped the rev limiter problem but now it runs good until I try to climb Hills as soon as I hit like 3rd gear and it just Bogs down and it just won't climb Hills man it runs like a turd and I don't understand you know I just want to see what anybody else did to fix it it's very common in these it runs awesome in 1st and 2nd gear like i plow snow with it every year still right now in 1st and 2nd gear but when I try to hit 3rd 4th or 5th it just does not have enough power and I don't understand what it is? if anyone could help me with this issue please answer and let me know what's up thanks I appreciate it
My 01 had same problem and never could get it figured out i got disgusted with it and got rid of it. When it ran it ran good but always had that rev problem... UGH!!!!!!
I had the same problem with mine. Don't go get new valves or anything that's just a waste of money. just take apart the top of the carb and you will see a big black seal that has the needle on it and make sure you put thee seal on right and then it will work just fine. its just not geeting air right now.
if you remove air cleaner there is a float air choke controlled by diaphragm it needs to open while accellerating if not it starves for air answer :diaphragm
