Literally I remember being 14 at this game and It was a huge deal they beat South Carolina and now they beat them almost every year and they’ve been beating Florida lately, definitely aren’t a weak program anymore
This was amazing in the stadium. Because a packed house of fans (that are still afraid of losing) look down and sees that. And then the crowd goes nuts. You can hear it. And in the stadium that place got so loud it was unreal. And the whole UK sideline went ballistic. It gave me chills then and it does again watching this. Downplay this win all you want. That's the most fun anyone's had in Commonwealth and it's going to get better from here.
It's been a long time since Commwealth has rocked like that. When it was happening I looked to my friend beside me and I said "this is the hypest thing ever."
I was at the UK LSU game tonight W 42-21 and are uniforms looked identical to this video, I had to convince myself there wasn’t some time traveling shit going on for a minute
As you notice doing this got the team hyped before that kick off. I think that why they was so amped up the whole.. hope they keep doing the kick off dance
KYsherm ... yeah it was imagination... if it did happen it would have really sucked... why you commenting on something that is 4 months old... go to sleep
It's not a trick play, or anything. It doesn't directly affect the action on the field. BUT it does imbue some excitement and energy in to the team and the crowd. Mississippi State used to do something like that before kickoffs as well, in the early 2000's. Unfortunately, there are no good videos (that I can find) that show the ORIGINAL Dog Pound Rock. For the purpose of energizing the team and the crowd, it works. Whether it results in anything positive on the field is hard to say.
State did do that before kickoffs in the late 90s. And we were flagged for it for taunting. Guess it's ok if UK does it though. Just like it's ok to have thundersticks given out in the stadium but cowbells are considered a nuisance.
sutrkane Seems like Kentucky was warned by the refs after that if they done it again they'd get a flag. I wish NCAA would let all teams do this, gets the crowd going.
mudkipman1 True yet still not ranked in the AP Top 25 due to lack of any serious competition in their schedule. But on another note, I'm an Atlanta resident so also a Falcon fan like yourself :)
Fooshigi I didn't even know who Waka Flocka was until Googled and no surprise that yet another punk rapper is in legal trouble lol. But yes, the ATL has been home to many in the music industry including TLC, Outkast, Goodie Mobb, TI, etc :)
