Hebden Bridge harks back over 700 years, but in the past 100+ years it has changed dramatically, these are just a few more of it's changes.

That's a name I remember ! I was an apprentice electrician at Gatley's back in the 70's the last time I saw you. Hope you're well ?

@@amp1 Well, we were fairly well acquainted back in our youth and used to bump into each other regularly, either on jobs or out for a pint. If you remember Dave Redman dj'ing at the "top shoulder", he's an old friend and was a neighbour so I often hung around with him.

Many homes and a lot of quality stone has disappeared from HB.

When I first moved to Hebden my partner and I got chatting to an elderly man who had never lived anywhere else. The stories he had to tell were amazing. So much history of normal people lost forever.
