In this video I share with you the process for aiming your headlights. This is important if you changed lights, like I did, or if you make any other vehicle modifications that will impact the aim or adjustments of your headlights (lift kit, tires, etc).

Thanks for the tips, CPO!!! One thing I've noticed, i don't know if its my ocd or just the camera picking it up a lot more, but your antenna is getting in the way of the beautiful lighting thus creating a thick long shadow to the left. :)

Yah.. that's the one downside of the front mounted antenna. It's not something that I notice in actual use, but as you can tell, there is a shadow from it. You can only see it when you are up close to the wall, I think.

For horizontal... Take lamp out, use Dremel on blank screw heads (4 and 8 O'clock) to create slot. Reinstall lamp. Adjust. (Or buy aftermarket kit screws)

You said it can only be adjusted up and down, but if you remove the headlight there is an adjustment for left and right also

Hey! I tried following your instructions and it looks like my after market lights were pointing way down. I adjusted them back up but maximum it could go up is about 3 inches below. I can’t get the up to 2 inches. Is that normal?

you can adjust left to right also, ive seen it on other youtube videos, you have to actually remove headlight the adj. bolt is below, you screw an adj nut one way it moves headlight mount to the left and other way it moves it to the right

4everjeeper yeah. The European market models are adjustable left/right but the US ones require small modification. Thats why I didn't do that. They can't be adjusted without modification

US ones can, without modification, you just have to remove the light and adjust the nut with an open-end wrench, reinstall the light and check it, and adjust some more. It’s a real pain lol.

You made a mistake, it's the lower part of the cutoff, to the left, that is use as a reference for adjusting down. And for adjusting left to right (if available), you should use the first angle (from the left) so the raised part of the beam is always pointing to the right, away from oncoming drivers. It is normal for the raised part of the cutoff, to the right, to be pointing roughly straight forward or even a tiny bit upward. 2" / 25ft is usually good for a car, for a lifted Jeep, 3"/ 25ft should do it.

Not true that the vertical is the only adjustment. There is also a horizontal adjustment as well

Wrong. There are TWO adjustments for Jeep headlight , you just have to buy the very cheap supplemental second screw. Worth it.

Just picked a spot in the...2:40....there is a defined angle that looks like a forward slash ( / ) and the lighting seems to be higher on the passenger side than that of the drivers side. Curious as to why this is? Personal i would think it should be level. Otherwise i enjoy your videos and your rig is sweet looking.

It's so that the light is cut a little lower on the side of oncoming traffic. It's the DOT beam pattern. www.retrofitlab.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/dot-ece-cutoff.jpg
