Very clear explanation. Thank you! It will be helpful if we get a video on how to migrate existing metadata in hive_metastore to new Unity catalogs catalog/schema/table

Thanks, this was very helpful. BTW, you really *_MUST_* use an account with global admin rights over your organisation's AD to make this work 🤯. Pretty dumb, but there you have it. This may be a fun conversation with your Azure Admin

New workspace is fine, but i have existing workspace and it have numbers of schemas and associated tables, and few workflows as well. if I attach this existing workspace to unity catalog meta store will I loos my data or will I get as it is in the new meta store?

your existing workspace may have schema available in default hive_metastore . You can enable Unity catalog to such workspaces , however you need to migrate your metadata to new Unity catalogs catalog/schema/table.- also you need to make changes to table name path in you notebook code.
