I am a long time builder of Pocher classic cars. I have used the nuts and bolts for years in place of the kit supplied fasteners. That said I have purchased the drivers sold by Micro mark which fit their 90 80 72 and 56 bolts and nuts. You can't use the drivers on round head bolts, only the hex heads. But that is not a problem you just tighten from the nut end of the assembly or carefully grip the round head. Then secure with red locktite...Has worked for me.

Hi again: I think your second comment was deleted by YT since it contained a link, but I have been to that site before and he has some nice stuff! Which header are you missing? Did Hornby reply yet?

I too am stuck because of the incorrect header part...still waiting for it. Btw I have taken to using small nuts and hex bolts in place of some of the kit supplied Phillips head screws ..ordered the 90 bolts from Micro Mark...you can get hex and round head bolts. Frankly they look better and you can paint them.I use the 1/2 inch bolts and you can cut them off once assembled...Much easier to work with. Of course where you have to screw into the block or some such place you have to use the kit hardware. This kit is a magical mystery tour...but once you get something assembled it looks pretty good.

Agreed. Are you using drivers on those hex and round head bolts?

Good Lord what have I gotten myself into

@don peterson - You've gotten yourself into a modern Pocher kit with the same old - even worse, lousy quality instructions. I have built a few of the original, mostly plastic ones from the 60s and 70s and while the instructions then were not that great, they have deteriorated in quality as time has gone on. Even with a new maker (Hornby) the instructions are the very worst of all large scale model cars I have seen. I do believe they will see their sales drop off if they don't take some quick action to make them clear, concise and legible like their competitors! Best of luck to you and make sure you get ALL the updated instructions for this build as they have many errors in them.

Finished this model a few days ago. There are sections coming up that are just as frustrating as this one. They also don't give you great instructions for where some of the hoses and pipes connect to. Have to figure it out yourself or go online and look at pics of what others have done. But it looks fantastic when all done.

Oh joy! Not surprised though. This is my 3rd Pocher model and the instructions are definitely not worth the price of the kit, but they do result in great looking models! 🙂

Ive been stuck at this point for quite some time because on my kit one of the exhaust headers was the wrong part. Further delays due to a Royal Mail shipping issue. Then when the part tured up it was still the incorrect part sent. I do have to say however that throughout this delay, Pocher Customer service has been excellent..\ Moved onto building the front of the car. I suspect I know what Scott Randell is talking about, cant fit this bit because of this bit but without putting this bit first, this other bit wont fit. Yeah, I look forward to seeing how the front is addressed. Great looking kit all the same

Hi: Yes, I agree, their customer service is pretty darn good! I've needed them twice with prompt results. Once was to replace a missing part and as you say, had to wait on the Royal Mail. but still got the replacement free of charge as it should be. I just soooo wish their instructions were better; it's like no one double checks or something...

Curious to know what you sprayed on the model, at the 4:36 mark, trying to get a part on?

Hi: I used BSI Accelerator which instantly cures CA glue.

Was ist das für ein Spray, was du benutzt?
@splashbakermodelbuilding

Hallo! Ich verwende einen Superkleberbeschleuniger für eine sofortige und stärkere Bindung. Das Spray verdunstet auch gut, so dass das Modell nicht wirklich durcheinander gebracht wird. Hi! I'm using a super glue accelerator for an instant and stronger bond. The spray evaporates nicely too so doesn't really mess up the model. 😊
