Hello from Chile, great job as usual. It was so sweet to see Trixie with Pudding. I can only imagine her talking to him about her day and wondering if the fairies are still living in the house she built them 😊. Your house is coming along and its beautiful to see all the progress. Great to see how you work as a team. Great job guys, your videos are what I start my Sunday morning with. You are a lovely couple, positive and the children are wonderful. Thanks for those Portuguese phrases this week. Have a wonderful week.
Amazing job, Badger! Amazing what you do by yourself. And Your lovely wife has moved her share of wood, stone, and tiles! And you seem to have fun! Amazing!
Lovely video this week...you two building your home and the children helping. I love the part with Beatrix working out how to make the bits of wood fit across the spaces...I feel you have an engineer in the making there! The life skills you are giving them (and all the positive encouragement) are awesome!
I can see a nice little table and chairs sitting out on the terrace in front of your kitchen. Having your coffee in the morning looking at that gorgeous view. Well done Badger!
Hi the Scooters. My wife and I are currently on holiday in Viseu. Doing a lot of driving, checking to see where the best place is to set down our forever home. Your videos have been a huge influence on us and we have totally fallen in love with Portugal. Keep up the good work.
Brilliant video guys. Badger has an amazing way and view of what he wants and how to do it and does it quickly. Kayla you are learning so much and you seem to pick it up so fast. You guys have a wonderful family keep doing what you do ❤ Paddy
You both continue to amaze and astonish me with what you can do and always with a smile! It was lovely to see the kids! The shot of Beatrix and Pudding had me tearing up!🥹 I think that your positivity definitely has such a great effect on the kids! Keep up the good work guys, looking forward to next week already!❤
Badger you are so talented. This home is going to be beautiful. The children are so blessed to have you two as their parents. Love of family and love expressed in the family is so ❤️🩹.
Yes! Labs do love to lay on the kitchen floor! Ours (she passed away of old age 3 years ago) was always there when I was cooking, or on the middle of the lawn as it was getting mowed, while our Sausage (she is almost 7 years old) goes into hiding as soon as the stove is lit! But never too far to coming rushing in with carrots are being chopped. As always, I am admiring the progress of the clever building of your home.
Oh bless sorry for you loss they are such a big part of the family arnt they! That is so funny about your sausage dog they have such big Characters don’t they ☺️
Hello from Delaware, USA. Great progress. Amazing what a good man with a good wife can accomplish. Kids are doing so well with Portuguese. See you next week. 🤗
Hello Scotters family! I follow a few families on RU-vid! Thanks God RU-vid exists❤! So this video and the music playing is very nice. Im so definitely happy for your building taking it’s shape. 😊
Hi from Texas! I have been watching y'all from the beginning and truly enjoy your videos! I love that the two of you work as a team on your future home and that Kayla is not afraid of hard work. I also appreciate that Badger uses measurements when it comes to the details of the house and doesn't leave things up to chance. You are a lovely family and giving your children the opportunity to learn a second language is very beneficial for them. I love hearing their words or phrases of the week. I look forward to your upcoming videos,
Hello from snowy Scotland been watch for weeks first time commenting, you both work so hard by yourselves well done loved the children’s little fairy house keep up the hard work x
Your build is coming along ...is there no inspection for building in Portugal? Your doing an exceptional job Badger but all the Portugal You-tubers I watch it seems like no town or city inspections.I so enjoy following your family and watching them grow! Have watched from the beginning!😊
Those words and phrases of the week are sooo cute! I and my siblings learnt (Brazilian) Portuguese at exactly their age. Now we are around 60 and still use our "secret language" (our parents weren't as fluent as we) as an old habit - connecting us to those happy times in the South of Brazil. I really love it how you give your kids not only the chance for a broad emotional, mental and intellectual horizon but also for feeling, seeing and helping the "birth" of their new home. I admire your enthusiasm and you patience, stone by stone, beam by beam. Cheers from Ireland!
Good morning from Canada. I look forward to my Sunday mornings, to grab a coffee and sit down to watch what the Scotters are up…Great video! Great build! Thanks for sharing. Fingers crossed for good weather for your next bit!🇨🇦
Wow busy week. I love that everything you do is a family affair. The children will always remember how they helped in the house build. I also really enjoyed the theme song to "Portuguese word of the Week"😉
Another great video. Your detail and progress is so nice to watch. The kiddos are learning so much. What the results of hard work, patience and care can be. All the best. I will see you next week. The roof framing will be fun to watch.
I love to watch your videos! They are so joyful! Badger, you probably already know this but don't forget the jack studs and headers for the windows and doors. They need that extra support.
The shot of Pudding and Trixie melted my heart 🤗 Badger is doing an awesome job with the house, especially with all the "figuring". Times flyin! Before you know it, you'll be all settled in.
Well done you two looking good what’s your plans for Christmas guys 4 weeks away have you a Christmas tree 🎄 I’m sure the children are getting excited or haven’t none of you had time to think about it !!! have a great week. X
Very exciting to get a better visualization of your new kitchen. It looks pretty big. Almost as wide as the house from my perspective anyways. The kitchen is the ❤ of the home so it’s quite nice they’ll be room for all. Including the doggies. 😊 Question, Will you be making some more stone staircases to the lawn on either side of the kitchen?
Thank you! Yes it’s so nice to see it come to life. It’s definitely the heart of the home! It’s the same width as the first part of the house Yes stone steps down to the lawn ☺️
It's going up fast! Now I'm trying to remember the rooms you showed us on a long ago tour, some aren't connected as I remember. It's going to be so beautiful!
Yes we are getting there. That’s right the old kitchen hasn’t got a internal door but we will be knowing that through very soon ☺️ thank you for watching!
The view all round, even up to the parking, is beautiful. You might regret not having cieling to wallfooting windows (corner to corner) windows. A roof with overhang can protect from direct sunlight in through the window panes. Or speciel glass kan keep heat (from refracted sun rays) out.
This build is getting along nicely! One question though, you do not mention treating the wood against wood boring insects, but maybe this is not an issue in the north of Portugal? As a Norwegian used to all houses being wooden I get impressed and curious about this whole build.
Great video and work family 😁 ... just imagine children and years later watch this beautiful history and legacy.❣ good moments and team work, Parabens 👨👩👧👦
Hello from Pam in Grafton New South Wales Australia. I love watching you guys and I have managed to get through the video without dozing off but it is midnight here so I am going to sleep. Lots of love.
Yes we do from our architect we could share in a video soon, we liked the idea of it slowly coming together visually for everyone and not seeing the end project strait away but I guess we could share them too! ☺️
