Remember 42 years ago, my oldest son was teething and crying in the middle of the night, I remember picking him up out of his crib moving to the family room and putting this music on. Then I rocked him in my arms for twenty minutes he fell fast asleep for the rest of the night. Every time I hear this I think of that night.
See, excellent music does not have to be labeled Christian to be sent from God's heart! Thank you for revealing the truth of the GREATNESS of God's perfect love!
My uncle, a Vietnam vet , introduced me to Chuck mangione in the 70s. I remember going to Manhattan to sam goodies to buy the album chase the clouds away. My uncle had a quadrephonic record player. State of the art at the time. I have been a fan ever since. I still have the album.
La He Oido Un Millón De Veces Y siempre lloro Ríos De lágrimas... Chuck Mangione te Amo!! Y Amo Esta Divina Canción Desde Hace Más De 45 Años!!! Soy tu gran fan... Bendiciones donde quiera que estés!
I loved this from when it was released. Chuck is not a 'technically perfect' player... which is so beautiful on this whole album, very human and heartfelt. Yes, I am listening in 2020.
I’m listening to this in 2021. The 70’s were the happiest time of my life. I had these wonderful little kids. Now I am mourning my daughter. Ten years. No let up. I love this song and everything by Chuck
I am a lifelong trumpet player and I have been listening to this album for 30 yrs and this tune still gives me goosebumps..... you can hear how tired Chuck's chops are at this point in that marathon recording session and he still keeps going.
Bless your beautiful sensibility. I am a 'beginner trumpet/cornet (hope to have a flugel, as well)' player with a huge advantage... played French horn in a major symphony, etc. for years... am loving trumpet/cornet. YES! It is the human qualities that make the best music. Perfection is BORING.
Although I love "Chase the Clouds Away," "Consuelo's Love Theme" is not only my favorite song by Chuck, it may be my favorite song, period. Absolutely beautiful.
A beautiful interpretation of Camille Saint-Saens’ “The Swan” from “The Carnival of the Animals.” Mangione nails it, jazz-style, with aplomb. One of my favorites.
Best way to connect spiritually and have the certainty that God is always with us, regardless of violence, virus, corrupted minds, egotism and ignorance.
Two college kids introduced me to his music in the 70's and I have loved him ever since. For my money there is no one better for an instrumental group! Bravo Maestro!
On this same album there was a track called "Medley". I would love to hear it again. As much as the rest of this album can have you feeling all the emotional pain and turmoil the world can serve up, "Medley" puts Hope and a sense of Joy back into your spirit. It should be required listening after "Consuelo's Love Theme".
Thank you so much for adding this. I remember waking up one night and hearing this beautiful, enchanting music. Mangione was in concert. I went out and immediately bought the album which eventually got badly scratched. Bellavia (also here on RU-vid) is also beautiful.
Very sorry to hear that, I live in El Salvador you can come any time and I show you some beautiful places we have here so you dont have so much pain these days.
