Thanks for taking the time to video this replacement. I got my LLY front totally apart, diff out, all steering, nothings in the front. Coating the frame, rebuilding every front end part, steering, hubs, lines, motor mounts, even had 2 freeze plugs leaking(that was fun trying to hammer new plugs in) anyways videos like these make me capable of doing this work myself! Thanks, GB!
No problem man, I didn’t want to really edit out all the failed attempts. Most make a 4 hour job 5-10 min lol. Glad it could help you. Wow! You definitely have a lot going on. I’d like to do a full Kryptonite front end! Good luck on it all! Thanks for the comment too
Yes, sir! You may never need it again after that but it will feel good to know it’s seated right because it’s just too much to get to. Got mine at Merchant Auto. Good luck man!
Yeah… it’s definitely a pain. I have the kit for you to borrow haha, I haven’t used it since 🤣. I’d say if you are that deep into it go for it but other than that 🥴 depends how bad it’s leaking.
Yes I still have the truck and no it never leaked after that. I just got it back from the shop from head gaskets and studded. So not sure if they replaced it again or not in that process.
I hope google is right on R&R /total cost to have this done 319 , noway would it to worth to me to tackle this , thanks for shows us what a pain in the ars it was
Really appreciate your comment! It definitely is a rough driveway job if your not already in there replacing other parts. I just kept finding stuff to replace the deeper I got… now a blown head gasket and I’m not tackling that 🤣. The shops going to do the rear main as well since they are pulling the cab.
I’m considering doing mine aswell. Just took my balancer off and noticed oil from the front main seal. I saw in other comments that you are lending the install tool, are you still offering to lend the install tool? Thanks!
Sorry, just seeing this... I was going to but it never carried through with the other guy. at this point I honestly have no idea where the thing is :/ Its best to just bite the bullet on that one unfortunately.
