BRO, It looks like you need another Subscriber! Here you go! Always wished I was a better mechanic. As the baby of the family, I had an older brother who fixed anything that needed fixing. Always driven older vehicles and always had good luck with them. THANK YOU!

@@JamesJohnson-ig6of I hope I can tech you more! I have 2 videos about how to inspect a car before you buy it, might teach you more! I love the technical side of things, but super technical videos don't do super well sadly!

@@TeamRocketGarage I have faired pretty well most of the time. I live in the north country in Minnesota, in the country. It's a rural area here, far from the big city lights. I said earlier that I drove older vehicles, but usually from someone I kinda knew. One of my best cars was from a 90 yr old neighbor of mine. He quit driving, and had his Pontiac Catalina for sale for $500. It had 51K actual miles. Because of the winters here, I always needed a pickup truck. A friend of mine just out of the service sold me his Dodge Dakota, extended cab. Right now it's parked in my yard under the pine trees. A little while back, the neighborhood plumber I heard his wife's pickup truck was coming up for sale. Couple months later he called me over, and I bought it on the spot. It's the most beautiful thing I ever imagined. Coming from the Dakota, which I never fit in the seat properly, and getting into a Ram Laramie Ltd., was like a limo ride in comparison She had it "customized" with a steel matching cover for the bed with gas struts..it matches the paint, so it looks like it came that way new. It's water tight. The inside of the bed is fully custom carpeted with black Ram carpet, plus lighting. I never imagined anything so nice. But I'm thankful for every older vehicle I had. In the summer, the black leather interior heats up, but the seats are heated and cooled. It takes time to get used to it, I never had a crew cab, but the cameras help when you get used to them. I used to play in a band, it has a bass subwoofer system built-in with nearly 20 speakers. I'm glad I Subbed, and your videos are great!

Didnt see the ignition/timing tune up done completely . 4 dr. hardtop. Makes it more rare . If not rusted severely it's well worth a few thousand dollar investment for a personal daily driver. Easily maintained by a novice mechanic.

Yeah! I set the timing, gap, and dwell off cam.. that part always ends up feeling boring on camera... trying to lean into more long format content though, so maybe I'll lean into that more .

I had a 68 BIscayne 4 door in white with a 307. It ran on 7 cylinders and had no reverse but i got it for $100 running and driving from a neighbor. I drove it for a few months and junked it .

My 1st car was a 1968 Chevy 2door hardtop and that's what year that 1 looks like and for some reason I always liked 4doors and I think it's cause people can get in and out of em better lol...That kinda looks like 4door hardtop

the 307 like the 305 were good solid dependable engines that were just work horses and not designed to be performance engines but with some work a 307 can be made to get a decent amount of power from more than the 305 due to the bigger bore and shorter stroke I saw a few 307 s in high school push a fairly heavy car rather quickly with the right cam heads and gears the only Impala I ever had I inherited from my aunt when she could not drive any longer a 67 and it had the 283 w a power glide tranny it purred like a kitten so smooth you could put a glass of water on the air cleaner and the water would barely move that engine found it's way into my gf s 72 Camaro w a turbo 350 behind it and ran really well for a small motor w a two barrel on it .. the 307 it replaced was tired and used oil a decent amount the 283 was a good replacement for the oil eater lol
