Took the car to a local shop they had a dyno day , car has a apex pfc on base tune temp outside was on the 90s it only put out 170 whp the Ecu needs fine tuning now
This Xrs sound soooo good. And 170 whp is no joke in a Corolla of this gen. They only weigh about 2600-2700 lbs so they get up and go with that kind of power. Plus these were only supposed to have 170 hp at the crank which would have been closer to 145 wheel horsepower so you’re probably getting around 200 crank hp. That’s great out of a little 1.8 liter engine. I could hear that can change over at around 6000 rpm and the engine sounded glorious at that point! Love high revving engines. That wil remain constant!
@@marcosdelvalle8314 wow what kind of mods? and do you know what whp it makes stock? im looking into buying an xrs theres on for sale near me. but im curious to know what the stock whp is
@@brucelee7283 mine did 174 whp with just a intake and muffler delete , on this vid it has a few more upgraded but I had just gotten to the dyno so the car was hot already didn't have chance to let it cool down
Incredible your car bro...! The sound of VVTL-i is amazing. Keep up the good work...! I have a yaris 1nz tune and looking for upgrades for that engine.
El oil pump d ellos funciona bn para uso normal y si no pasas d las 8200 rpms d fabrica ya cuando se le suben los rpms y andas d carreras todo el tiempo entonces se cambia x la billet d MWR
@@marcosdelvalle8314 I was being sarcastic. Wasn't a hate comment. But in all seriousness, the 2ZZGE is an amaing Toyota motor. I was very close to owning a 06 Corolla XRS previously. But the seller wanted more than the cost of a 06 Civic si. The LIFT felt great though. It sounds amazing and is quite agressive (even in stock form). Which was the one that I had test drove. It just sucks that it engages at around 6,800 rpm or something like that. If it cam in at around 5,800... it would be simply astounding!
@@marcosdelvalle8314 Yeah, I figured. My buddy lowered his V-TEC on his Civic si and it didn't sound as aggressive. But if you swap the ECU over from the Matrix XRS, won't LIFT ingage earlier and still be just as aggressive sounding as the Corolla XRS at stock spec?
With the base tune when do you hit lift? Do you fall out of lift going into 2nd gear? The lowest point of lift rpm wise I've seen is 5700. Been following your Corolla. Also may I ask how does your car do against the new civic si? Or rsx type s?
Love it bro! I have the predecessor xrs and I got to say I'm jeleous that I don't have the 2zz. Am supercharger mine in like a month tho so we'll see if it can keep up to these beasts.
@@marcosdelvalle8314 yeah its so hard to find a good brand kit, all of them have just been discontinued it seems :/ I wish I could have gone with one but it is what it is
Even is old, that car still looks nice. I love it, I still have my 2007 corolla for 7yr from now it's still low mileage. Don't tell I'm wrong, for corolla if you know what your doing with the car, it will still look nice that hits people's eyes. Will nice video dude.
@@uigogeta9441 I just got another 1 , once it's tuned let me know so we can meet , friendly run , if u did beat him it's ok , doesn't mean it's not worth it I'm sure ur car ain't stock
