I just got my plug and play lights I do have a problem my Escalade plug under bumper is 6 prongs my lights that came are 5 prongs what can I do to solve this problem I appreciate every input
Did you have to remove the GM grommets ( where metal tabs go in on factory tail lights ) to get these new ones to seat flush? I have had 2 sets of these and both pair the passenger tail light had gaps on top and bottom so I was wondering if this might have been the issue. I did not remove grommets thought.
I live in Germany and have a 2012 “euro spec” Escalade. Meaning they have amber/yellow blinkers. These lights are only available in the us with red blinkers. Does somebody have any experience if they still work on a euro spec Escalade? I love the way they look but am kinda hesitant to buy them.
The new wires came installed on the new lights and the bulb was unplugged. And it is plug in play, you have to remove the the old extension from under the bumper and plug the new longer wires with the new tail lights directly into the wire harness under the bumper. It should make sense if you have the new lights. Or maybe different companies wire them different? Thats just the way these came and were installed.
@robnolli9299 ooohhhh...thanks for the clarification...I just installed mine yesterday after watching your video and was wondering why all these extra steps...hahah...but mine came with tye wires all installed...thanks again for the great video!!!
My husband got the smoked cathedral taillights for his Cadillac Escalade esv 2008 but got stuck on the part where you showed the two different connections. But thanks to this video he now knows where to connect them. Lets see if it works out for him. 🤞
I ordered some and i see they have the harnesses plug that goes underneath and there is another small plug that is a 2 prong. Do you know where that goes?
4th gen taillights look hilarious on the 3rd gen because it doesn’t take into account that you’re putting thin long taillights on arguably the bulkiest and fattest looking Escalade. It just doesn’t work and looks very odd and silly when you see them on the road.
I had a cracked tail light on the '07 Escalade so eventually had to do something about it. Decided to go with the new style units. These things have to be the biggest tail lights ever made for a production vehicle -- 41" top to bottom. My only complaint is that the turn signal LED's are red whereas the OEM's are yellow on the 2015's and newer. Otherwise I love them! Definitely worth it and the install was piece of cake easy -- plug and play!
I just changed from the smoked-lens cathedral tail lamps to the clear lamps. The 'old' smoked set (August 2021) developed an issue with the tall passenger side element not illuminating in unison with the shorter stack of LEDs when using the turn signal. The red light illuminating with these clear lamps (installed July 2022) is really dramatic in the daytime in ambient light. Very pleased with the new, clear lamps. *edit The effect of the clear lamps when they illuminate at night is something that has to be seen to be appreciated. It's really very nice.
Not sure, it was a while ago. But we live in Fl and get alot of sun and they still look perfect. They were around $400 for the pair when i made the video.
I saw that your old light bulb comes with the square plug just like mine. And in the new one comes the purple rectangle plug. did you have to buy an adapter?
@@BLK86SS lol I drive a tow truck and that word and I've come to find out that word "should" is a very safe word to use. "Should" means 50 50 in my eyes
That makes no sense it's a Cadillac and that's how Thier taillights been forever why not put them on the truck it looks stupid on tahoes and Yukons and u noticed the new Escalades put them on their now cause everyone is doing it 🤔
