Thank you! I’ve been searching everywhere for the wheel travel for this era Silverado. I just put dirk king UCAs, eibach coilovers, with rear reservoirs on my 2014 Sierra with 285/70r17 Mickey Thompson Baja boss.
Do note with you got ball joint uca, you will be limited to about 7.5" of travel via angle limmit. Uniball provides more angle motion. Eibach wil not be fully utilized.
@@merkubuilt So despite the extending stroke length of the eibachs I'll be limited with the Mooj joints in the UCAs? With the oversize tires would it matter? I feel like i probably gained some droop but don't have the upward travel due to the tire size anyway.
@5RWill way all levling UCAs made with ball joints. You gain 1" down travel lose 4" total uptravel. Down your lower, tiered, axle clearance bottoms out. Uptravel new upper angle locks out. That's why I went with lift knuckles.
I ended up getting -18 17x9 wheels 315 70 17(metric 35x12.5). There is new product video and update coming, in short I created clearance issues for my self. Plus I live in PA with on and off snowing limited trails around here, not much action aside from testing movement and clearances.
@joewatkins209 hello. I have made many more updates to parts and other parts. Pics on my Instagram @merkubuilt. I'm trying to wrap up extra bits to make 1 to 2 videos to give complete overview of options and what it took for 35s to fully fit. Feel free to also email to get product info. Thank you.
There is update coming, I went to general -18 17x9 with 315/70r17. In turn I created clearance issues for my self, not much offroad been done sense. I been working on new product with solution to run 35x12.5 on common offset aftermarket wheels.
Correct 3.5 knuckle from RC, I got coilovers swt at about 3" lift. For coilovers they are FOX 2.0 6.5" stroke with reservoir, strapped and bumped at 9.25 travel. I am making new parts to adjust LCA geometry for better 35 clearance and max fox travel to 10-11". 6.5" is odd, all others are 6" 10" travel is max. You can run 2.5 I already further improved mount fitment for 2.5s, it be a waste of money for me based on trails here.
@@merkubuilt I’m definitely in need of a 2.5 where I’m at. If I can get a 2.5x6” IBP coilover in there and have 10” travel with 4x4 I’d be a happy camper. How are you strapping off the stock lower?
@1fsthyundaisonata1 lol, I actually was looking at king 2.5 ibp, after built mine... Strap of eyelet through bolt to upper control arm bolt. There is pic on my Instagram. You only want to strap last .25 of stroke to prevent top out, I would contact king see if that's needed. Email me I'll show you what got and we get you set up.
You will be limmit by CV half shaft, and coilovers. Uniball bill stronger upgrade. I'm not sure how alignment will be, most uniballs are "corrected" for levling kit. I am working on my own UCA with LCA relocation to move hub about .75" forward for better 35" clearance.
@@merkubuilt gotcha awesome ty for the reply bro! It’s a 2wd truck unfortunately I have dirtking ucas I’m looking to get a uniball uca soon. If only I knew ball joints would have limited my travel that bad. A uniball with a cap should be decent for daily driving right?
