OHMSS theme was the only Instrumental, and it is in the top of the list. The 'Lazenby Era'...OK, 1969, was one of the best Bond Films & doesn't get the respect it deserves.
View To A Kill was always one of the best theme tunes for Bond. But hearing it slowed down like this really goes to show what a beautiful tune it actually is. It's wonderful.
That's the beauty of a good music!! It remains fresh and appealing to hear for many many years and centuries to come, even after the composers who composed it are gone. Who can forget Ennio Morricone's The Good The Bad and The Ugly theme? Who cannot get motivated, moved and cry upon hearing the ending theme in The Dark Knight by Hans Zimmer? Who won't like a drive in the country theme in For your eyes only by Bill Conti, or get pumped up by Gonna fly now theme? And of course Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, and Tchicovsky produced some of the most legendary and everlasting pieces!!! That's the beauty of music!!!!
I don't see how anyone could dislike this. This is utterly amazing. The different songs blend together perfectly, and this just goes to show what an incredible composer John Barry was.
The "Bond Meets Stacey" portion is honestly the best thing I've ever heard. I can almost picture a forbidden romance budding alongside that theme. =P It almost makes me wish this was never composed so that I could make my own movie with this in it LOL.
On Her Majesty's Secret Service is an odd movie. I think a lot of James Bond fans would rather pretend it never existed, and they have good reasons. It has severe flaws as a James Bond movie, and if you try to evaluate it outside the James Bond context it makes almost no sense and probably offends a lot of people. But... it has the best ski scenes of any Bond film, leans into the weirdness in terms of situation and villains... and the soundtrack is absolutely gorgeous. This is a fine rendition of the theme, and yeah, as other commenters have said, going into the View to a Kill theme as a slow movement works so well. I'm still not sure how I should think about the movie, but the music is superb.
Well the movie mainly gets the hate for one reason and that's George lazenby. While there is some truth to it, George lazenby tried his level best here despite being no acting experience here, this being his debut movie. And the cost consists of actors who put their 'A' game here. But George Lazenby wasn't bad here, the final scene of Tracy's death shows his acting capability. I wish he was in diamonds are forever
OHMSS score is perhaps the most bad ass and energetic of the franchise, and AVTAK one of the most romantic scores. That instrumental of the AVTAK theme is just beautiful
I love the OHMSS intro, it's so ominous and some parts of it plays during the entire movie. A great entry in the series, that got butchered by critics for YEARS until it received the deserved praise.
It's kind of weird to hear OHMSS in A View To a Kill, considering both films share absolutely nothing in the scope of 007, but it's still great to hear a little musical continuity between films. I'm disappointed they didn't do it more often, like say for example using the space theme from You Only Live Twice in Moonraker or something.
Perhaps. For me, though, it combines a sinister feeling with elements of grandeur and nobility in a complicated but gripping musical compilation. It asks us to imagine a time and place in which large-scale events could be lived through and confronted in a grand way. It's unapologetic.
I love listening to this, I've owned this music for about 2 years, I still love listening to it, also considering AVTAK and OHMSS are my favorite movies.
This is a really well done medley of two ostensibly disparate title songs from the 007 films. Many thanks for taking the time to upload the entire album!

Whatever you think of OHMSS and Lazenby (I think both are great, OHMSS is possibly the best Bond film and I'll take Lazenby over Moore, Brosnan, and maybe even some aspects of Connery's performance), it had the best theme song.
In my opinion not only OHMSS is the best bond but it has the best score. But AVATK is the second best in my opinion. Berry outdone himself on both scores and it showed.
