So none of the military units are secret and never have been. Theyve created a lot of myths to chest beat. But cia SAC/SOG is the only sensitive thing. -- hostage rescue units were created to do operations we could advertise to try and persuade Terrorist not to take our people. -- but you can blame SF & Delta force for that They are the ones that made that acceptable. Delta did the first Books(Charlie B/Dalton Fury), Tv shows(The Unit/Kurt M) , Movies(Delta Force/Blackhawk Down). Yes, the pentagon approached the norris brothers and even had 3 operators on set at one point. Black hawk down had 3-4 on set. But the most alarming is Between 2003-2010. Delta operators continuously leaked real helmet cam footage doing real hostage rescues and HVT hits. They just put it online. -- I support the Books, movies, tv shows even though I don’t watch them myself. It’s absolutely crucial for recruiting future generations. Movies like top gun, lone survivor, Blackhawk down, 12 strong, act of valor, the company, the hurt locker, the guardian, zero dark thirty, etc we’re all supported by the pentagon so understand TRUTH OR REAL LIFE ISNT INVOLVED. It’s a movie for recruiting. If you made a real movies about real life it would be called Hurry up and wait. It wouldn’t recruit anybody.

@@drewjames8594 Well I was not a aviator but I know good grades, maybe take some private pilots classes, good vision etc. Boy Scouts is an automatic entry to the Naval Academy or Air Force if he becomes an Eagle Scout. My first three jobs were had because I made Eagle. I'd let him talk to a recruiter and he'll be able to tell him what he needs.

It's kinda funny how people go through the same things as a youth and then at a point, there's a change. I was poor as $hit with a father who split when I was 6, leaving my mom and I alone. My grandpa was the Boy Scout leader in the small town,on the Delaware River that I grew up in. Both of my uncles were Eagle Scouts and then became the next leaders but I made it to the rank before Eagle. I think it was "Life"scout or"Star" scout. I wasn't on my grandfather's good side for dropping out before I made my Eagle but I was 16 or 17 and I was driven by hormones that were a hell of a lot stronger than my will to not be a POS in my grandpa's eyes. I was also a big kid, some would say I was a fat kid,so the military was not even close to an option for me. My step dad,who was totally awesome, convinced my mom and me that there was no reason to fight wars for rich men to get richer from killing and dying for them. My step dad was a commercial electrician and I was gonna follow his lead and his opinion on the military, was set on stone in my eyes, because he was 1st Cavalry,Air Mobile Division. 3rd Btln,2nd Artly from 67'-68' so I got into who and what they were all about and was super impressed with them. He came into our lives when I was 7 and what an amazing time until I was 11 and the cancer from Fu××ing Agent Orange, killed him. This is what put the military on the top of the $hit pile, leaving it as the last thing I would ever do in my life. This ruined my childhood, along with the whole "fat kid"thing. You realize how evil kids are able to be to each other and it's pretty hardcore. My teen years were a long haired, weight lifting, metalhead who didn't give a flying f××k what happened around me,as long as I didn't have to apply myself or commit to anything that I didn't want to. So, like I said, it's funny how $hit changes for a youth when you're on one road that is finally getting you somewhere and then you kinda slip off the road, completely, crash and never quite recover the way you could have. At least I can say that nobody ever told me that life was gonna be fair, cuz it's a fu××in' $hitshow for some of us and it's a $hitshow for plenty of others, they just end up suffering cuz they don't realize that it's not a fair ride. I actually feel sorry for some of those. I could have used the military for the discipline I never got but life became my teacher the hard way, with no instruction manuals, just trial and error and error again. I can say that I'm 50yo with a broken spine and hip from a drunk driver. I've hung up my ego a long time ago and traded it for humility and a strong constitution,a firm resolve, I can't stand a thief or a liar and hypocrisy is something that can make me smack a mo-fo. I spend more time in the forest with a rifle, hatchet and a couple knives in a shelter that I built under a rock. Im keeping my groups of 5,inside of 3 inches at 200 yards with my .22 mag and I guess I can throw in the fact that I kicked an IV Heroin habit of 14 years,8 years ago and I did it on my own. No rehab or detox facility. I just stared it in the face and prayed for death and luckily, I was obliged. Now I'm reborn. I feel like I have been through a war with many battles lost except for the final one. I'm not sure why I shared this with whoever reads this but if you made it this far, Thank you for giving a little bit of a $hit. Post script: What the FU×K is THIS🫄 doing as an imojee? Yes, a pregnant man. Surely this is from some "woke", window licking, door knob with green hair and a serious unaware need for a healthy ass kicking.

To be objective, going through things like this doesn’t necessarily make you a good person. Not even necessarily a better person… There was actually a former SEAL convicted of having child porn in my home town. Another active duty SEAL convicted of child molestation. People are people. I mean these guys have been through brutal training. But none of them have made the same contributions to the planet that say Elon has. Things like this aren’t necessarily a golden ticket to the life you want.

I'm not real keen about the worshipping the military, but frankly, the dumbest first-week basic training recruit has contributed more than Phony Stark. Musk's "contributions" to date are grifts and plain old stock pump'n'dumps. The guy's a documented serial liar and self-dealer. He's a deadbeat who doesn't pay his debts. You can debase yourself all you want for the comic book messiah, but the fact is that he'll never be your pal, and he'll never give you a pony. Nobody needs a messiah, let alone a sociopathic one, so think about your dignity.

One year during little league football, I experienced something similar to what William was talking about relative to his knee "not working". It was the strangest thing. I would try to run as hard and fast as I could, but it felt like running in Jello or like being trapped in slow motion regardless of how hard I wanted to push. Coaches and parents asked what was wrong, but it was hard to describe. There was no pain in my knees, but it felt like an invisible force holding me back... and it was extremely frustrating. Lasted for about two-three weeks, then just went away like nothing ever happened and I was back to normal. Years later I learned it may have had something to do with the cartilage in the leg bone growth plates hardening or changing. No confirmation, just a very strange three weeks of my life.

Could've been temporary nerve palsy caused by a pinched nerve... Atleast in certain joints, whatever nerver controlling a muscle group in your joint just straight up stops working or barely works, usually little to no pain other than pins/needles or feeling tingling like it's fallen "asleep" or pain later from the other muscles you end up using trying to compensate which is usually only how permanent damage happens... Then randomly between 2 weeks to a few months it will slowly just start working again... Pretty wild thing to experience. I had a pretty bad case of radial nerve palsy after pinching the radial nerve in my very inflamed shoulder injury I have and my entire wrist just dropped, stopped working completely, along with most of my ability of thumb/ finger movement for nearly 2 months before it started getting back online, took about 6-8 months to get my previous grip strength back to 100%... Definitely an interesting experience lol 😆👍Apparently it's usually not that bad, just a sharp hit to the nerve can trigger it according to the doc I had, but apparently the shoulder inflammation was keeping pressure against the nerve for longer than typical so it was dead for longer, after a few weeks with zero movement I had to get a nerve conduction study to make sure it wasn't permanent, that's the only time I was concerned 😐 One part of the nerve conduction study is getting a needle sized microphone stuck in you multiple places multiple times... So that's apparently a thing that exists 🤷‍♂️
@jonhelguson
@jonhelguson 11 месяцев назад
@@berryreading4809my guess would be nerve two. No pain and limited function..very low chance that damage to cartilage or muscle, or bone for that matter, would be pain free. He did not describe any swelling (fluid) which could give that sensation. But, swelling would have limited mobility and most likely be accompanied by at least some pain.

Will, you must have been on one of the old boomers with the dry deck shelter apparatus on the missile deck. That means you were berthed in the sherwood forest among the old missile tubes. Lot's off room in there. Much better than hot bunking on skids in the torpedo room. Had to be a 640 class boat, likely the Kamehameha SSN (Slow attack) 642. That was a huge boat, looked like an aircraft carrier to me, who was used to an Ethan Allen boat. LOL. You never had it so good. I spent 10 years in the engineering spaces of two nuke boats, 12 years over all, and I had my fill of it. You went in to the Navy 10 years after I left, but you stayed in more than twice as long as I. My hat is off to you.

This is so similar to my own Navy trek. Unfortunately, I did it the other way around. Joined to be a Seal, basic, OS"A" School (Andy Stumpf was there at the same time one class ahead of me) I qualified for BUD/s in basic, was guaranteed a rating. Got physically screwed up at A school, landed at BUD/s and just continued to get physically destroyed. Med drop😢off to the fleet, ended up in Yokosuka also(by choice, as a buddy if mine from A School was on the ship and now he's 😅famous😂 Sturgill Simpson). Same deal, after my 2 years away from BUD/s my OS detailer that redheaded stepchild 1st class motherfucker outright POS denied allowing me to go back to BUD/s and he even pulled rank. I told him, alright and essentially FUCK YOU, my command will supersede your bullshit and they did when I returned from Gulf tour. I got orders back to NAVSPECWAR.

So once you Med Drop or Quit, it shouldn’t be easy to get another chance. Nobody is entitled to get a slot. Especially if they’ve had a chance already, these programs are not that difficult if you prepare properly. -- All the communities are really good about MED-Rolling. So you will just get rolled back 2-3 classes. Hell, we rolled a guy 5 classes. If it’s a broken bone, guys get med rolled 95% of the time. Med dropping is basically quitting with an excuse. --- the last 5-8yrs . We have so many recruits wanting to go. If you quit your chances of getting a 2nd chance is near zero! In the 1943-2011 you could get multiple shots. After the popularity of the program went up. We’ve had so many warm bodies, You basically get one shot. We’ve even seen the navy recruiter do buds contracts and the navy has breached its own contract and sent them to the fleet. Because needs of the navy!
