Gonna tell wife I need 3 hours to do this this weekend and just gonna sit in garage and drink beer 😂 put some dirt on my hands make look like I did something
@@nutindoin2 Back is sore, needed to take a break. Then have a few spare parts scattered with the manual in your hand looking frustrated. Works everytime.🤝
Without a doubt he doesn't know what he's talking about. From 2009-2014 f150 the cabin air filter is under the hood on the passenger side. I guess this guy doesn't know his truck with all his misleading info
Thanks for making this video. I have searched for that cabin air filter on my 2013 Platinum and could not find it. So I’m here on RU-vid seeing if anyone has made a video about it to figure out where it’s located. I came across this video immediately clicked on it because of the title was exactly what I was looking for and then the video you told me exactly what I needed to do.
Spray Lysol through the intake (outside truck below windshield) have truck running, have ac running but NOT recirculating. Spray Lysol through vents (outside of truck) have windows rolled down so stuff can escape. You more than likely have bacteria living in the vents. (Very common) easy fix. Won’t harm Truck/car.
Wait what?? I dropped off my 2014 at the shop and they called to tell me what I needed done and a dirty cabin air filter needed replacing was on the list 😑 I told them no of course because simple things like that I am capable of doing myself just like the wiper blades they also wanted to replace 🤦🏻♀️ Thanks for posting this information 🙏
Well...thanks. Should've looked before buying this CF11176 cabin air filter. Book says its for my specific flex f150 truck but your video confirms what i just found out 😂. Back to Wal-Mart for a regular FRAM truck filter.
Was in Autozone for some other stuff, realized it was probably time to change mine, figured I'd ask about getting one. All that came up for cabin air filters in their system was a K&N high performance air filter. I'd never heard of a high performance cabin air filter. The guy behind the counter paused, realized they didn't have any cabin air filters, and was then at a loss of what to do next. This explains his confusion, lol
Just went to my Ford Service Dealership and they charged me $60 for replacing it…AND I DO NOT HAVE ONE!!! Beware people of your service providers….guess i am having a conversation Monday with Reynolds Ford, Norman, OK…. 🤔
I had one of the local ford dealerships near me try to tell me that I should replace my cabin air filter on my 2011 f150 and tried to sell me a new one when i was getting my oil changed and transmission recall done.
Thanks a lot I've been hunting on a ranch that's extremely Dusty I change the air filter under the hood but I decided to change my cabin filter and lo and behold I don't have one
And how come I just paid to have my cabin air filter changed and watched three different videos showing me how to change the cabin air filter in my 2010 f150
If you bought a used Ford F-150 like that one you better pray the previous owner had the a/c recycle button on the whole time... imagine all the dirt and dust? Where does it go?
I think the previous owner lived in a ranch with cows cause that's how it smells when i turn the heater or air conditioning on is there a way to clean where the by pass air flows
My 2016 F450 doesn’t have one either. Getting ready to install some frog skin material on the outside. My 2002 gmc has a cabin filter, easy to change too.
I was at Quicky oil change place last year, was quoted $45 for a cabin air filter for 2012 F150... I declined, was pretty sure it didn't have one because never had that conversation before at any shop. Looked for replacement part online...doesn't exist. I go to a different oil change place now.
