Probably commented on this before. This is still one of my favorite eurovision songs, flawless performance. Such a shame it didn't qualify for the final, they were robbed.
So wonderful when you understand the lyrics. Slovaks and Czechs do, some other Slavic countries a bit too, but the rest of Europe is kind of 'robbed' without the lyrics meaning. "Leť tmou" and "Hope Never Dies" are pretty typical for our countries, I'd say we normally love musicals a lot.

@@aleksanderpagels288 honestly the jury at the time could only save song that ended up at least 11th, 12th or 13th place with the televote result. And Slovakia they ended up 2nd last place in the 2nd semifinal, so how come the jury could save them. Despite the fact that i love this song and love the way how they sang the song INDIVIDUALLY. But they screwed up so badly in the chorus part, especially Nela.
Так то да... но я то агностик... с признаками атеиста. Дьявол тут абсолютно не причём. Хотя, если перефразировать, то дьявол - это сама Европа, которая не хочет и будет понимать музыку.

Sad fact: 2009 was the only year when both Czechia and Slovakia performed together, but they weren't even in the same semi final, and they both failed to qualify.
