2003 - March 28 (I only have a partial - missing 3 min at end)
2004 - May 28 mine is a damaged mix of two episodes

Elise Tanner and Alan Howard were married in real life. The actor who played Alan Howard die of liver problems due to his alcoholism in 1979. He was only 53. 😊

This bought back fond memories. I watched this with my dear mother all those years ago, when I was a child. I cried buckets. And this was special with use of music and a lovely classical piece. My mum has long gone now and it was a touching reminder. As old as you are, you can cry and I did. Lovely bit of history. Well done Granada

The reason why for this? I'm 55 now and come a cross this episode yesterday. Watched it again this morning 31 October, the day my mother was laid to rest, 6 years ago today. that's why this so so special. Miss you lots xxx

Totally agree! And that is in Wilmslow near the Carrs, and the St Barts Church where it is filmed! As a girl growing up in Wilmslow I recognised this shot. Wow. The 70s were such a romantic decade and left their mark on my young mind.

" Alan Howard owes us the best part of 400 quid ....." Close in on Hilda Ogden's face. Blimey, talk about close up, lol, you could practically count her nose hairs! Beautiful episode though. Pat Phoenix was a very handsome woman in her day and she looked gorgeous in her wedding outfit.

Elsie walked like a model - Its amazing how many parents dont teach their kids how to walk properly - It drives me crazy when i see so many ( mainly men and boys) walking with their feet at ten to two or even worse a quarter to three and all because it wasnt corrected as a child

I dont thinks so he was supposed to have died when away from the street and im pretty sure a street funeral never came about - Probably because his death was such a shock and so upsetting for the cast

Yes he did - We seen Trevor for a bit then he moved away as soon as he could - And two other kids that were put into care before they came to the street who were only mentioned once then never again
