I started following STG's channel because he owned my two favorite modern dream car's. Seeing as I'll never be able to own either I compromised last year and purchased a 500T of my own after working my ass off for it. Now that I own it, I don't want anything else (save perhaps a proper Abarth.) It has this old-world simplistic character that really made me appreciate driving all over again for a fraction of the price of the "proper" cars. And they are a handful; horrible weight distribution and prone to defying gravity in triple digits. To see him own this is beautifully ironic to me. Best of luck Sam. There will be naysayers, but if it makes you smile it's doing it's job well.

Competizione gearknob needed! You can also push the flap in the boot floor back in on itself to get more exhaust noise in the cabin as there is a little air vent from boot floor to back bumper.

What type of paint is that ?

Sport mode doesn't make a difference to suspension or exhaust noise. It weights up the steering, allows for a little more torque and makes the throttle response much more sharp. As for the Akrapovic, it doesn't seem to be popping etc as much as my stainless steel monza so it might be worth checking the exhaust system and making sure the valve is open on it. Finally if you want more exhaust noise in the cabin, tuck the little flap under the boot carpet in the boot. There is a little lip which deadens the exhaust noise, if that isn't enough if you feel around you will feel there is a vent there to let out excess air when you slam the doors shut. This has a little rubber flap over it which really isn't needed so pull that off. You can thank me later ;) Car is stunning.

the first thing to change for a daily use are the rims. 15 or 16 iches are the best choice if you want go faster on bumpy/country roads and for a smooth daily drive

Good to see your tail lights are the US style and not the blocky car-colored flat panelled after-thoughts that the European models carry. Speed bumps...yeah. Even the Abarth 500 is pretty stiff, I can't imagine the rough hits on the 695. Radio? Gotta smile, I have used the radio once since I've had mine. Bought my 500 Abarth 4 months ago, new. My kids sync'd my cell to the car~ never have used it. I like listening to the sound of the exhaust better. :) Awesome looking little monster you have there, buddy. Congratulations! I have a abarth also and wanted to let you know that you can actually turn off traction control all the way. Instead of pressing the button quickly you hold it down until you get the notification on your screen. It should take about 5 seconds

Honestly, had you made a video discussing whether or not you should get this car I would have leaned towards a no but it's such a fun little car and now I wish I had one.

Ceramic coating is nothing like Paint protection film! Ceramic coating is like wax (helps against wash scratches and makes rain run off) and PPF protects against stone chips'

Sam, 2 quick suggestions- Yellow accents on the rims When you put in your stereo, pioneer makes a great compact subwoofer that would be simple to remove on track days- TS-WH500A

Sam, hold down the ESC off button for 10 seconds to turn traction completely off. That should work as that is how the NA Abarths do it

Hold the traction control button for about 10 seconds, it should turn off all the way. Works on my 2013 US spec Abarth

There are few little mods you can try on the Abarth to make the driving experience much better. 1) Seats lowering bracket. 25mm lower on seating position gives you totally different feel. 2) A short shift. There are a few short shift options to choose from after market, which most of them improve the long and mushy gear flow from factory. Enjoy the Biposto!

You should Defo use this one your next trip to Monaco ! Would be great to see it zipping around Monaco.

awesome looking car. I had a hired car from europ car which was a fiat 500. it was beautiful in black with some red stripes.. leather seats inside, start stop technology etc. I do miss it. I know what you mean about the bone shaking suspension

Hi Sam. Another great vid. You mentioned mods and track days. Why not pop down to Castle Combe race circuit for a track day? It's just off the M4 near Bath. Awesome circuit. I've taken my modified Fiat Coupé 20 valve turbo around there several times. it's a cracking day out. Whilst your in the area, pop into FC Performance. They specialise in modifying Fiat Coupés and Focus RS's but they seem to be able to remap most things down there. They might be able to offer you some performance upgrades on your Fiat!
