@00.30 - I should have said 'use *a copy* of the decals to place the windows'. I always make a copy of the decals, regardless, and print them on decal paper if needed.

And after, did you just put the decals with the all black windows over the drilled holes, how does that work?

Excellent build! I like the lighting conversion for this tiny model.

Thanks. Tricky feeding the cables through the nacelles, but an enjoyable build

Thanks David, nacelles we’re tricky, but a fun build. I thought you’d like the T-shirt :)

Great build as always Dan, just wondered where you found the template for the 1/537 aztecs?

Excellent work! I shall be adding the Reliant to my fleet of 1/1000 starship in the near future, and this was a very helpful video. Can I ask a question please....Once you've drilled the windows do you leave them open or do you, say, use pva glue to create the "glass"?

Thanks David. For larger scales I would use either plastic strips frosted or Micro Krystal Klear (depending on the amount of windows) but for this one, the windows were so small I found there was little need. After applying the coats for light blocking, primer, and main, they're even smaller. An exception would be if I had to position the LED strips standing up resulting in the light shining out, then yes I would create the glass effect. In this case the LEDs were flat, so I didn't think it was necessary

Why does everybody paint these? Pearl white aren't they supposed to be gray?

For me, the film ships are pearlescent white. However the FX shots over the years have played havoc with this choice :) but I always go with, paint it as you see it.

I found the sensor grid decals to be a total nightmare. And the reference on the box is a joke, it's not even pictures of the same model kit. 😡

? that's the scale it's in. ' I don't make them, I only build them' 🙂
