And after, did you just put the decals with the all black windows over the drilled holes, how does that work?

For larger scales I would use either plastic strips frosted or Micro Krystal Klear (depending on the amount of windows) but for this one, the windows were so small I found there was little need. After applying the coats for light blocking, primer, and main, they're even smaller. An exception would be if I had to position the LED strips standing up resulting in the light shining out, then yes I would create the glass effect. In this case the LEDs were flat, so I didn't think it was necessary

For me, the film ships are pearlescent white. However the FX shots over the years have played havoc with this choice :) but I always go with, paint it as you see it.

I found the sensor grid decals to be a total nightmare. And the reference on the box is a joke, it's not even pictures of the same model kit. 😡
