Love your Duesenbergs! Years ago in the US these cars were so well known for their extreme quality and prestige that the brand became a slang word. People used to say "That's a duesy" (Doo-zee) when talking about something that was extraordinarily special.
At 15 I made this very model as a plastic kit from Monogram wich had chrome and plastic painted parts of high quality that looked like the real deal, very classy. This price you paid is great, but seeing it destroyed well I'd ask for a refund or get money back through PayPal portection or DHL or something this can not be wtf did those stupid apes do with it!!Good Grieve!! To see the real ones Jay Leno has some nice Duesenbergs even a V16 seek it out at his channel.Those cars would do 200 Km/h in the thirties something like a space shuttle to te common T Ford driving man in those days apart from it costing more than a villa.
You seem to be pretty easy about that horrible damage. I would be furious, since all of that damage definitely couldn’t happen during the transport. Some of the broken parts must have been torn off already before it was shipped. The seller must have lied to you. Could you share the name of that ebay seller? I want to avoid him on ebay in future.
What I like is when these models come with instructions that say not for under 14 year olds . I do not know many under 14 year olds who have the kind of money these lovely models cost.
I think already broken and packed already broken. There would've been a lot of damage to the outer box for the model to have been damaged like that on the inside. We're talking major impact to rip all those parts asunder Marek. Thats why a $500 model went for $200, it may have said "slight damage" or "some loose parts" somewhere in the sellers description small print. Anyway, nothing super-glue cant fix and its fun fixing stuff, just hope that all the parts are there. Brilliant model though WOW 1/12 Duesenberg! What a beauty, sure is a BIG conversation piece and a real Show-piece of _any_ scale model collection!👍💯
I got to commend you on your calmness. I would go insane if I unpacked a €50 car with this damage, let alone a €200 car. Hope you can't see the repairs when it's done.
As a collector, I do understand you very well! I get so angry when that happens! I also repair and restore model cars, and those are always a challenge! I'm really sorry for what happened and I wish you success in repairing it!
Jesus Christ on a Harley, while you were at it lying down there untightening 4 screws, you could at least struggle a couple more days and do an oil change... well, THAT was frightening, really... I feel for you mate. I would have done the whole trip back to the transporter and shove him the entire model (roof included) where the sun never shines.

@@ExternalStar no, I was just taking a wild guess. But I looked at the reviews on their e bay page and that's a high percentage of negative reviews for me. Although they do sell A LOT judging by the sheer amount of reviews in total, many good.
I.gope this wasn't described as NEW. This looks like it was sold as nice but really isn't. Check with the seller. Send them photos. Your better than I. I'd be Really pissed. And demand my money back. If that does work open a claim against the seller. Good luck.
