I live in Argentina, and I still have the Ibertren that my grandfather brought me from Spain in 1975, exactly the same as this one, but with many more parts and wagons, two locomotives, one diesel and the other steam. Beautiful, of a great quality all the pieces.

Wow child memories,, I had an HO set the went to an N scale on a double Deck 4x8 , had a full subway under and a full city and working turntable and engine shed

Riding german train is fun in train simulators like Train Sim World 2020 where you can turn on saftey systems like SIFA PZB and other like AFB which gives you realistic driving experience. To drive a train with those systems you have to be familiar with light singals and signs.

My first train set as a kid was OO, but nowadays, I model in N. You can literally fit twice the layout into the same space!

I remember the Märklin US starter set from I guess 1998? It contained the Santa Fe and the Big Boy for under 400€. Nowdays only the Big Boy is around 500
