I totally agree with you! Diecast AUTOart models is the way to go. Even though the gaps on the diecast are not as good as composite but holding a diecast model feels like you're holding a piece of art. Coming from a collector myself. I have nothing but diecast Autoart models from yellow LP670, Agera, R35 , 1988 Porsche. Definitely worth it. Great video
Love your videos! I must correct you as you are WAYYY off on the list price of the 5000S...I paid $189 for my White AutoArt Countach 5000S and that was list when it debuted. I still own it and it’s one of my favorite models! It was truly the good ol’ days of AutoArt. The white AutoArt Countach 5000S is considered by collectors to be the “unicorn” of the trio (AutoArt also produced the model in black & red...) meaning it is by far THE MOST coveted and has shot up in value. If you were able to STEAL yours for $50 bucks back around the time of its debut, I salute you, sir, because these days you simply cannot touch an AutoArt white 5000s for less than approx. $500-ish or more sometimes! Personally, not only would I choose the AutoArt over Kyosho’s version, I’ll even go so far as to say that I think it’s THE FiNEST Lamborghini Countach 5000S model out there @ any price. Also, I may be wrong but I believe that the AutoArt 5000s is modeled after a 1982, not a 1985. Not 100% sure but it rings a bell. WoW this comment is L O N G ❗️😄 In conclusion...(LoL) Keep the GREAT videos comin’ & I’ll keep watchin’❗️ -----
I have both these models now. Paid like $400 for a used 2003 Autoart LP5000 Lambo that originally sold for $70 back in 2003 (got it in red).😄. Bought the 1989 version in white a few years ago brand new for about $240 - brand new. Both are my favorite models.
Great review as always Sir. I love my 25th Aniversary Countach without comparing it to the millennium edition as I don't own one. But seeing this review has certainly made me think in relation to Autoart signature models. The points you raised on the metal weight issues of both models really put that analysis in line. More for the £ back in the early 2000's.
I have a black Kyosho LP5000S. Its shape overall is much better than the AUTOart version, but it lacks the door struts and some details. I bought it for 120 bucks second hand on ebay. The 25th Anniversary edition actually came around when AUTOart was considering stopping producing metal cars in favor of plastic ones. That's the reason most of them have quality issues, fit and finish mostly. I have the silver version and to be honest, I'm still happier with my older Kyosho!
Excellent review. About the trunk not closing properly on your 25th anniversary Countach....that's most likely a manufacturing flaw. I had purchased the black 25th anniversary version brand new/sealed back in 2016 and it had the same trunk issue.
Point about boxes. Yes they save on photos on the boxes of diecast but make sure the makers logo is large enough. The safest packing ever made was the 2 foam haft design AS LONG AS they place properly and enough of the soft Kleenex/nose tissue in particular versus rougher paper wrap tissue. For me rather get a great deal on a great condition/ MINT car and not worry about or even need the box as long as it is wrapped and package well enough to make it to me in MINT condition.
hi i love ur videos man i would like to get your opinion on the best new Ferrari 1:18 scale models and if u could tell me the ones with the best prices!!
Hotwheels Elite was great, that wen't up to the LaFerrari. Options are limited on 1-2 year old Ferraris and brands like BBR are great but $250-600 a pc.
Ya. So really. Why are Autoart so so so much more expensive on the secondary market and even retail. If nothing has changed or improved for the better. And we all continue to support these highway robbers making and selling them. I would have also not left feedback in this case. Just an unknowable seller. Then there are sellers that know the history but will try to pull one over on people. No diecast nor resin should be over $300 Canadian not in 1/18 th. A specially not Resin. I pass on buying beautiful looking makes and models I see in resin because I will not be a sell out to the collecting of DIECAST METAL replicas. Think if one waits til when the first year of and diecast is released, we all then get held to ransom price wise. Remember in the 90's when think EXOTO was king of accuracy and detail and quality and yes they were kind of expensive at around $225 or so cdn. But still worth it.
@@jackh.3052 The first model Jamie showed us, it looks like an improved old Bburago - with better wheels, interior, windows, pop up headlights. But the shape of the car is seems like the old Bburago one.
Certificates and numbers. Even in secondary market only important if special number like 1 to 3 or last built or engine size or year of car etc. So if the manufacturer is charging more because of these things leave it out.
What about the LP500S Walter Wolf Edition, does it stand in between? I'm a new collector and would like to add an AUTOart Countach in red, but not sure which one to get between the 5000S (AA #74531), the LP500S Walter Wolf Edition (AA #74651) or the 25th Anniversary one (AA #74534). I'm aware the 1st editions are rare.
It's on my to get list. It would be hard to pick one, all good models. It depends on your preference. The 25th Anniversary was the very last so it's special to me.
If you could check out my Instagram i love forced perspective photography with my cars. Just started this. Would Love your feedback. Digitalreflection. Keep up the FANTASTIC videos and reviews
