What is the back-pressure effect on the pump due to this change? Guess there would definitely be some damaging effect on the long run! Clogging in 1mm orifice is very easy. Smaller orifices can lead to increased pressure upstream of the orifice plate and can lead to a phenomenon called discharge cavitation. Also it shouldn't make the pump to go to shutoff condition if not designed suitably. My suggestion would be to get a written confirmation from the manufacturer on the acceptance of such change and then replace the orifice.
this mod is for foam cannons which are used in pressure washers below 8 LPM. 1.25 mm orifice is too big for such pressure washers and thus a 1.1mm is used which is appropriate for such pressure washers. this mod is not recommended to be used in commercial pressure washers which are generally above 8 LPM.
None of the orifice looks like the one you have used in your video. Even I too have purchased but none works. Please share the exact link that you have purchased the orifice from.
