Hi! Thanks for visiting the channel!
In this video, I am building an old Trumpeter kit of an undefined Chinese destroyer, which was bought from the soviet union. it is in a huge 1/200 scale, so there are many details included in this kit.
It is only assembled and painted so far, but i want to make some more things with this kit, like some more details, rigging, weathering, in the future.

Peter awesome build and video. A unique subject and a welcomed one. I always liked the history of the ship and kit that you include in your videos, nice touch. Again excellent build and looking forward to part two of the video. Have a great weekend and stay safe and healthy my friend. 👍👍🇦🇹🤝🇺🇸

Hi Chris! How are you? Thanks very much for the feedback! I did rush it at some stages, though. I'm not 100% satisfied with this build, if i'm honest.

And again, another great watch.... Where do you find you models at? Ebay? You put your skill to great use. Thanks again for your time and work to make the video and post.

Thanks very much! I get my models from a Polish model shop (the modern ones), and get them (rarely) from ebay and mostly from a local "virtual marketplace" where private persons can offer their stuff. There, one can find really great models, very old and also new, for nice prices

Correct, Gnevny-Class destroyer often known as Project 7 in Soviet designation. These are either sold as the 1/200 Trumpeter Courageous or Trumpeter Anshan. The Anshan version was a renamed Soviet Project 7 destroyer they bought from Russia after WWII. The Anshan is outfitted with two surface to air missile launchers in place of the torpedo launchers. A lot of people who play World of Warships will know all about this destroyer....

I have seen many of these converted to radio control and they often toss out the included cheap motor and gearbox and install one motor for each shaft, direct drive.

How do make these models so quick man? I take forever to build even one ship. I also visited the ship IRL before. It’s pretty cool.

Hi Sam! Pretty much what Riley said, Covid. Also some kind of lack of other free time activities :-). And having the university over internet is also a good way to "multitask". Is the museum ship still afloat? She has a really great shape, very streamlined and sleek!

Вероятно кто-то что-то перепутал. Но вообще эсминец "Смелый" (Smeliy, mean Courageous) действительно существовал, вот только принадлежал он к проекту 30-бис и был головным кораблем.

how much does that model cost? I found This model at local store, It cost 4200yen or 38$, can you tell me is that price cheap enough or maybe more expensive than yours? sorry about my bad English 🙂

Hello! I paid 15€ (18 US dollars ca) for this kit, but it was a great deal from another modeller, so i got lucky. I think 38 dollars isnt that much for this kit as its quite large, but its not a total bargain in my opinion. I think for 38 dollars it hase good value, though

@@funinscale2892 Thanks for the reply Sir! I think the price is too expensive for the old model. Maybe if I can make a deal with the owner, I will buy that kit soon.

@@funinscale2892 Also ich finde deine Arbeit ziemlich gut.

Hi George! I think so, i have never come across one of the very early 1/200 Trumpeter Chinese ships (they also have made some modern chinese destroyers in this scale), but i am not sure. Great kits, though!

I was looking for a large scale destroyer to build for RC the Lindberg blue devil just doesn't cut it with their 5" guns that look more like 5"25 cal then 5"38's

@@georgedistel1203 I have recently watched a video about the lindberg model, the barrels looked really tiny! Maybe the revell 1/144 Fletcher Class, it is a nicely detailed kit! Have you looked into that?
@georgedistel1203

Didn't know that Revell offered one in 1/ 144 scale thats interesting
@Hjerte_Verke
@Hjerte_Verke Год назад
@@georgedistel1203 You can make the gun barrels longer and I think some company produces brass barrels for the Blue Devil that look more accurate. Also, you can drill new holes in the turret floor to move the gun barrel closer to the front of each turret; something like 1/8" to 1/4" and drill new holes. It is not a perfect replica, it was designed to be a semi-scale motorized model
