Great review ,considering the Proline were straight out of the box and probably still had moulding agents on them from manufacture( do they wash them before packaging?) ,they did really well , the contact face of the Proline also seems to be slightly more domed than the competitor tyres ,thanks for taking time to do this fellow 🖖
Thanks. Hyrax were run stock, and hasn't had time to break in yet. But they were pretty amazing. The plastic beadlock wheels looks good, but for my type of crawling, it's going to need just a tad bit more weight on the wheels...and I have plans on those.
Great first look and comparo of the Proline tires/wheels! Do you think the grip of the Hyrax will wane over time, as more mileage is put on them? Do the accompanying wheels make the width more narrow? Happy birthday, BigSung!
Actually as they break in, the grip will get better. The wheels are standard size. The MT Hobbies 3d printed wheels are a bit wider and works really well with Rock Creeper, so I plan to keep using them with it. But for Hyrax, I have other wheels in mind for it.
