In this video I explain the TTL value which is located in the IP header. It should be noted that the hops I was taking were right on the router when I really should be counting the hops OVER the router. I should have also pinged different interfaces (outbound and inbound) on the same router as an example to show why the TTL will change if you pinged the same router. The lines (links) are what represent the networks. And yes there actually is also a movie lol.
