Wonder if it was a known White racist and this was the reason the cops let him go first? Or ANTI which seems to be popular in these necks of the woods?
Yeah.....my immediate thought was....WTF.....literally mere seconds after ramming two cop cars & even the helo pilot was super casual and ready to terminate as well?
As King County resident and security guard, this exactly why crime is so high. Government in Washington to soft on crime, and criminals have more rights then you do.
If Guardian One is watching him there's no reason to pursue. He'll just keep running and end up ramming someone else. He only stopped because he assumed he got away, the termination worked exactly as intended
hahah. When they terminated after felony assaulting officers and the Sergeant said terminate I about lost my sh!t. Then Guardian saying we can clear if nobody cares I was like yeah!!! stick it to them.
A lot of agecnies in large metro areas won't chase stolen vehicles. My agency won't pursue stolen vehicles, but as the air unit we are given wide latitude. My guess is something similar is understood/accepted in this agency. Example: Once, our state patrol was pursuing a stolen vehicle and actually asked for our assistance on the radio - the area supervisor said we won't pursue it and don't get involved. I had my TFO get on the radio and tell them we were assisting another agency... We called the pursuit, and when the Trooper PIT'd the suspect, 5 cops and a K9 mysteriously showed up out of nowhere within about 10 seconds. Everybody was on the same page, and we didn't violate policy by pursuing a stolen vehicle. It was glorious.
@@markp9139 Majority of the agencies in the US won't chase stolen autos, but this wasn't just a stolen auto. Almost every agency I have interacted with will chase for aggravated battery on LEO. Why this supervisor called it off is beyond me.
Washington State passed a law which restricts when police can initiate a pursuit. Which pretty much tells you why Seattle and the Puget Sound is becoming a free-for-all for criminals.
....except they didn't do their job. That car should have never made it out of that parking lot. He could have been pinned in, but they purposely let him go.
It terrifies me when watching criminals driving to evade the police in residential areas or highways. If they think nothing of hitting a police unit, they certainly would hit an innocent driver and think nothing of killing someone. Right from the start, the officer's vehicles weren't blocking him in "Good Enough" that he should've been able to escape them.
Being a police officer is alot like working in snow removal, no matter what you do you're doing it wrong. Terminate the pursuit? wrong! Not terminate the pursuit and an innocent bystander gets hurt or killed? wrong!
Ok, so this is the SO, not the PD right. The car rams patrol units, assault with a deadly weapon against a peace officer and the supervisor calls them off. I would have driven to the substation or patrol office whatever and handed them my badge right there. Ya, chasing a car for misd minor things and even putting them for said offenses goes a tad far. Any pit maneuver is a lethal force option especially when the fleeing vehicle is doing 100+ mph. This, there are certain offenses that you just don’t stop for, homicide, kidnapping, most serious felonies, but especially crimes committed against law enforcement. You let anyone get away with that and you will start a cascading event that won’t stop. Suspects will ram everything in front of it or behind with no thought of what happens after.
Good job guys I'm sure their insurance company will take care of the whole thing. Between the thieves and the government thugs really no difference. Turn it up.
If I ever gain enough $. To buy a realy nice vehicle,, I'm sure as hell gona pay a few extra for the kill switch,, cool dude steal it but hit the button. And dead,,,, oh my what just happened,, it just died,,,, um yeah,, and have it connected to the stereo speakers,, be like hey you,, golly gee did it just die,🤔🤔 gee I wonder why,, you got 5 seconds to get out before I lock the doors and your fucked
Having an air unit is a game-changer for law enforcement. Once the helicopter is actively following you, your chances of getting away drop exponentially.
@Mark P In Washington state only 5 counties use helicopters to chase fleeing cars, all other police departments or sheriff's don't use helicopters or they do not have
Simply unbelievable that command would issue a terminate order after two officers’ lives were put at risk. I’m heading back to the Arkansas Highway Patrol videos. My blood pressure can’t take this nonsense.
Love the pilots response to whoever made the call to discontinue the pursuit, “if nobody cares” especially after ramming officers, sorry but that supervisor is a moron and somebody please tell him for me.
Regardless of agency pursuit policies, air units are typically given at least a bit of latitude. My agency won't pursue a stolen vehicle, but in a case like this where the suspect rammed the police vehicles... we'd chase it until the wheels came off if need be.
Lesson for all you normies. The criminals have the upper hand in the benefit the prosecutors let them go. The gunmen of the government and court system are totally exempt
Absolutely love the clarity of your camera and the flir is such a great game changer for the eye in the sky.the guys in the air are absolutely amazing.stay safe folk's.
I will add…. that a plain clothed deputy with a spike strip, walking up to the vehicle discreetly and slipping under the tires and then swarming the vehicles immediately after with the block-in strategy…. would have been a more optimal apprehension strategy. I hope to see more creative apprehension techniques developed with use of remote controlled devices. Like a small silent RC car driven up next to the tire that punctures the tire…
@@shootshellz kind of ridiculous you got offended at someone giving suggestions that might yield in lower percentage of escapes and pursuits….. you look like a fool. Police needs more funding, and more creative approaches. Especially given the red tape that now exists with current WA laws.
I get that SEA is a class B airport, but as long as the helo can maintain visual separation, they should be allowed to cross the centerline to continue the pursuit. Their ATC must be BLM-types... The class C airport in my county, along with 2 other military airfields, will actually hold traffic for us if we say we're actively pursuing.
@@markp9139 I’m sure they’d rather not have 15 RA’s pop up due to a loitering aircraft right on the approach or departure end of three parallel runways.
1:00 Why do they keep doing that! The moment he hit the patrol car and backed up, they should've known he would flee and still they get out of their patrol car
Most likely because of Washington’s pursuit policy which state that someone can’t be pursued unless they have committed certain types of crimes. Not even stolen vehicles can be pursued.
@@cityofseattleroleplay The cops stopped their chaise but the moron kept running as if he was being chased so what good did stopping the chase do? I have seen it before when long after stopping a chase the suspect causes a wreck and hurts people.
@@garyradtke3252 Sometimes they keep running just as hard after a pursuit is terminated, but a lot of times they don't. Having the helicopter monitor and relay is by far the safest way to conduct a pursuit.
Second officer was way too slow on the draw because He had a pending right there we're gonna go in anywhere and then if you gave me any guff just pop about 12 shots through the windshield
Now that he is apprehended he will be charged and released to do whatever he wants to. The criminals are laughing all the way to jail because they know that they will be let go faster than the amount of time taken to arrest him.
"Arresting deputies located a ????? the suspect's poc(ket)." Suggest putting the writing much higher in the final frames if using end screen link cards.
What’s up with the cowardly supervisor calling off the chew after this guy rammed two squad cars? I now you have to keep public safe but he assaulted at least two officers, grow a pair sgt.
Luckily, most gangbangers and thugs don't know about or understand airspace. That being said, different places get different levels of support from ATC. I'm a LEO pilot. In my large urban (purple) county in a very red state, we have a Class C airport and 2 military airfields - ATC will actually hold traffic for us if we are actively pursuing, as long as we don't loiter in a corridor.
If you as a police officer is going to purposely collide with a vehicle to try and contain it especially when there’s two of you I want to hell does this car get awayWhat the hell is wrong with these two police officers driving these two vehicles
Bravo the police, you have a dangerous job and you deserve our respect. As for these dangerous fools who think they are all powerful at the wheel of a vehicle, we must not give them the slightest chance of getting out.
I’d say pursuits get terminated because of past situations where innocent people have been hurt or killed and the police have been sued by the victim’s family. So to avoid losing money they don’t pursue. Plus in suburban areas like this, far higher odds of car crashes or pedestrians getting hit. Open highways, much easier to do pursuits. The police are damned if they do and damned if they don’t… they can’t win if you think about it.
I had to laugh at the foot chase as the perp really wasn’t running that fast, but you could tell the two cops were struggling to run aswell… to many donuts…😂😂😂😂
Crappy 'pin maneuver' - do these officers not understand how cars drive and change directions? No. Just watch the opening moments. These yahoos endanger everyone else so their bumper-grills don't need a paint-job. Are they graduates of the Columbine/Uvalde Driving School? "We could need a new paintjob!"
Hang on a mite, because I think I'm missing something here. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong...but isn't LoJack reputedly supposed to *prevent* such scenarios, by remotely disabling a vehicle so equipped, so the road-terrorist can't do all that ramming of cops and innocent victims, to say nothing about destroying another person's property just-because? That's what I heard, anyway. If that's not the case, then what's the point of it...?
The suspect rams 2 police vehicles, which is a felont charge of battery/assault with a deadly weapon, and the supervisor terminates the pursuit. It is no wonder why criminals think they can do whatever they want. At least the eye in the sky stayed with him and he was caught.
I can't believe the Sergeant terminated the pursuit for a felony suspect. Please go work a desk sergeant position or the jail if you don't have balls to let your deputies chase scumbags. King county residents don't need incompetent Sergeants working the streets.
I'm sure the owner of the stolen car would have appreciated the police letting the thief get out of the car before they moved in... Especially if they were just going to terminate the pursuit anyway.
