Thanks for the review. Overall, Border Models produced a very nice kit. But, I think the kit shows they relied a little too much on previous Chinese Ju-87 kit designs. To whit: the Stuka had round-headed rivets on the rear two-thirds of the wing surface, and around tail of fuselage, NOT flush rivets overall. See 1975 Airfix 1/24 Ju- 87B For CORRECT representation. Border also got wrong the lower, rear landing gear spats' outline, which should be rounded on bottom & sides behind wheel/tire opening, and NOT flat-bottomed with creased sides; again, check Airfix for correct representation. Also, bomb cradle is the INCORRECT A/B type, and not the proper D/G cradle; this is not as egregious an error, as cannon-armed Gs almost never retained bomb racks/cradles, because they didn't carry bombs. But you, watch, if they ever release a D type, they'll perpetuate the Trumpeter error of the incorrect bomb rack, the company they obviously rely on. Too bad they didn't rely on the Japanese, as Hasegawa got these last two items right, 15+ years earlier, and side-stepped the rivet issue by offering almost none. Lastly, Border also appears to have missed the rear seat backrest strap, that traverses the cocpit walls, and the front & rear seats' lap belts.

I'm just away to start mine I was reading that Nigels review he's a mega rivet counter and said it was the best he's ever built and his first Bordor model's kit lol surely doesn't know Bordor model's kit being lousy fitting I'm an armour modeller I've built a lot of there armour kits there new Luchs was really bad! Hopefully this is going to be nice build though I have read the singles canopies to have them open do not fit so don't even try lol 😆 heard this a few times now must be doing something wrong? I've just noticed new 1.35 barrels for it on the auction site so just ordered a set you get brass rounds with them to! And there actually 1.35! I had to get 32nd seat belts for it though so we'll see how they look might be a tad to large but better than what's not in the box eh!

Hi Charlie, apologies for the late reply. Yeah I thing in some cases you have to be weary of some reviews, as they may be too nice for the manufacturer, rather than saying well hang on, why we paying so much for this, or the detail or fit is crap. But yes the kit is broadly similar to the Hasegawa 1/32 version, but there are no seat belts that are worth using and not much more detail than the Hasegawa version. Don’t get me wrong the exterior detail is superior, but the interior isn’t. The fit isn’t that bad in places, but again the canopy fit is awful, just what were border models thinking, some modellers do like having their canopies open. Anyway that’s my thoughts. All the best and I hope you enjoy the kit, if you ever get a chance I would love to see your progress and thoughts on the kit.

Yeah it is a great kit and an improvement of the fit and surface detail of the Hasegawa kit, thank you for the reply
