Thanks for a great vid! I tried VMS paper shaper with the AK camo net, and half-way through I realized it doesn't work: The nets are probably plastic and won't soak up the wallpaper paste-like paper shaper. I was mimicking a net that had a back fabric, and since the paper shaper does work as a weak adhesive, I used it to glue the camo net to the backing material. The backing fabric was made from paper and paper shaper, then coated with resin. It was a pain, but with lots of paper shaper it worked. Next time I tried your method, ie. diluted PVA, although I added a tiny drop of dish soap which made dealing with it easier. Either way, getting the net to keep a shape until dry seems the biggest pain. IRL they can be pretty heavy, esp. with an IR blocking back fabric, and they often lay flat or show a lot of sag and tight creases (yours look great though!).
Haha, yeah, for one of the tarps (not one I showed) I accidentally picked up the wrong bottle and used VMS ballast freeze (sand and gravel fixer). That wasn’t quite ideal either.
Marines don't use the stryker, only the army and guard. The white net looks out of place, a temperate camouflage net would have been far better. But a fine model without a doubt.
