My plan was just to have it on a remote control outlet like the rest of my Moducases. So when I walk into the room I reach into my remote control box and turn the room on with the displays as well. They sell them on Amazon. I think $30-40 bucks?

@@DrawTheLine35 Well now everyone but the next gen people are happy. Maybe that'll be the third ship, that would make sense. You can bet with the success of the first two that we'll keep seeing them come up with something new, the public is loving this level of iconic collectable. They're special, the first one, this one, the next one, maybe we'll get a Klingon or Romulan ship someday, that'd be cool. I'm training a tiny monkey to fly the new one when it finally ships, already got the goggles and scarf. Hells yeah. Cheers.

@@freezedriedicecream Yeah the only real place to get one now is Ebay, and they've gone from $1200 to $1500 initially after they first appeared, to $2500 now. I had something weird happen, I also missed fund raising for the TOS, and for no reason at all I called Tomy in late Jan this year, they transferred me to their outlet store and I bought three of the TOS for $599 each with $30 shipping. I asked her If I'd just lucked out and she said yeah, things happen from time to time and most people never call to enquire, you called and we happened to have some. It was blind luck, but I'll tell you I pulled a muscle reaching for my wallet. I sold one for $2350 and I'll keep one, and still have another one to sell, but no reason to be in a hurry, they're not likely to go down in price any time soon. The really cool thing is the one I sold financed the Refit I'm getting, it's like winning the Star Trek lottery. My TOS is still in the box, I've working on the interiors of my house and need to finish before I get it displayed. Man I want to see it for real, lol. Sanding, painting, uggggg!

from the Adam Savage video it looks like you can just attach a battery bank to it if that's what you want

I'm sure someone here will 3D print the shuttle pod and workbee and make them available to buy to all model owners.

@@andyman1701 I can totally imagine if Tomy doesn’t throw in some additional freebies (or free bees 😁) that someone will come along to specifically make various small shuttlecraft for the 1:350 scale

I would recommend finding a way, the needs of the one outweigh the needs of the many.🙌😎🙌

The Surak does dock behind the bridge and it sounds like Tomy may or may not do more shuttle stuff for this one, given what Chris said in this interview.

My suspensions are not a choice, but another campaign started before shipping the Refit to utilize the molds. 😉 Once use is complete, expect the molds to be destroyed.

@@Danoby2 Oh man can you imagine all of the Enterprise-A fans who wished they got the heads up and have to re-order before the first one even came. Also the CoA for the TMP Enterprise would say something like “molds will be destroyed after we’re done with the ‘A’, we promise!” 😂

Actually you could buy it! You could use a forwarding service to send to the UK, but it would be expensive since this replica is about 10 kg or so and will be delivered by air freight. I also know a guy who is sending these replicas in particular to international backers. You can weigh your options, but it can be done and it’s not too late!

The website has been experiencing heavy traffic!! Folks don't want to be punished by history like some did with the TOS Enterprise!

Now, where is the profit on doing all of that?😉

@@daviddickinson6346 Compared to what the TOS version had, these are better. You can barely see them. Thats "if" support is needed at all. Probably is.

They have stated that the production model will have diffused lighting. Yay!

TOMY is allowing people to use third party shippers! Check into that! It’s pricey BUT I GUARANTEE IT WILL BE WORTH IT! The TOMY TOS is now selling for 3 times the original price!

I'm from Germany and can't order either, Tomy doesn't want our money.

The first Polar Lights 1/350 refit model also had similar supports, and that was all plastic. The Enterprise is beautiful but it's a goofy shape. If it's necessary to keep the model stable than oh well, it's much better than the saucer stand that came with the TOS model.

They should be able to make it stout enough to not need supports and also not droop down on the pedestal like I’ve seen in other pics.

Being metal makes no sense for a model like this.
