Neels voice got me through my pregnancy. It’s the only way I could fall asleep. My baby is now 6 months old and he I’m sure he thinks Neel is part of our family. Every time I play his videos he stops everything and pays attention to his voice like he knows him. 😂

I love these videos, but have wondered why I'm getting sleepy watching them...I figured out out! Neel's voice is so soothing and quiet that it lulls you to sleep😊. You could do calming videos on one of those relaxation apps! Awesome vocal tone and quality!

Great video, but does anyone else ever feel like, "Here, let me give it a go?" I especially feel that way when not finishing an area of the ear, and when jumping around. No disrespect, you're the expert. The overall procedure is very satisfying though, and makes me wish I had gone to school for this.

I'll take a stab since I've been watching a long time. I've heard Neel mention that he needs to get his bearings in these situations when one cannot see the canal walls and/or eardrum. It's not good to touch the canal walls deeper in the ear for pain and even possibly even injury and infection. So, he usually seems to tunnel until he knows where the landmarks are located under the debris. Also, he's mentioned that the first priority is helping the patient to hear better and help ease symptoms. I've always taken it that since the goal is hearing and relief, it's best to expose the ear drum in case the patient would need to stop for some reason, so he's at least accomplished that goal. I am not sure that's a part of it, but it always made sense to me. 😊

Do you show the client an image of their ear canal during the procedure. So they can understand why it's time consuming and do painstaking.

Like when you've been sunburned and the dead 'burnt' skin layer starts to flake---and you go to town peeling everything you can. It is odd and so weird, WE are odd and very weird to actually enjoy doing it😱

I love the new round tool you created. It seems to help loosen very stuck material and scoop it out. I watched another person clear ear wax from a persons ear and they got it out but were so rough and aggressive that I could not watch another one. Plus they played dreadful music instead of talking to us.

I hope you see this - I wonder if you/her GP has ever prescribed estrogen cream for her ears? As women go through menopausal changes, the lack of estrogen can change the pH balance in various places, including the ears. A small dab of estrogen cream in each ear once a day *may* help her?

Like a typical man! He goes right in for it. I don't need to be an ear specialist to know that I don't peel a label from the center and I don't go right in for it. He spends a lot of extra time when he should be peeling from the edges. But he doesn't want to have to clear the sides, he wants to just clear the center, but he could save a lot of time just peeling around the edges! It drives me bonkers when all he has to do is peel from the edges in!

I see that you sometimes struggle using the suction. As you are using the suction why can’t you shut off the suction after you pull the skin/wax away from the ear canal wall and turn the suction back on instead of fighting the suction putting the skin/wax back in its original place. Thanks

I’ve been wondering if there’s a reason you didn’t work from the edge of the dead skin to gain leverage and detach it from the ear canal like you do other times but instead tried to suction from the middle?

Oh my goodness this poor patient, it must be horrible. I love how much you educate us with your narration. I'm in the UK and having worked in engineering and knowing lots of engineers gauge is pronounced like gayj. That is the correct pronunciation in English, I can't say how other countries might pronounce it. Gorge is a different word meaning a narrow valley between hills or mountains etc... like Cheddar Gorge here in the UK.

If this patient lives in a hard or very hard water area then it may well be worth recommending, at a minimum, fitting a scale inhibitor on the mains water inlet. a water softening suite at best.

Just so it solves your dilemma, the word definitely is Gauge. You gauge how far it is, or measurements of certain diameters is Gauge. Gorge is to indulge in excess, is you gorged on desert, or it can refer to a geographical feature where water has eroded out a thin cut in the landscape, or my have water involved as well. Think Cheddar Gorge as a geographical feature in the UK. I hope that finally resolved your files to the correct word. You can wiki or Google both.😊

@thewaxwhisper a question. In dogs we treat aspergillosis cases by flooding the sinuses and areas with canesten liquid or cream. Does this method of treatment ever get used in humans alongside systemic antifugals? Thanks 😊
