"Creeping Death" , "Harvester Of Sorrow" and "Sad But True" from this '91 show are mind-blowing too. Seattle '89 is another mind-blower. The live "Master Of Puppets" is as bad-ass as it gets. one thing i've realized the more i delve into metal is that metal tends to get this bad rap for being "satanic" and other BS. A lot of it, if you listen to the lyrics and pay attention (like you do) a lot of metal music has a lot more deeper meanings than what people think it does.
@12Prophet
@12Prophet Год назад
As an avid listener to a lot of various branches of metal... There are definitely bands centered around Satanism. And even so, the music is still good. Dimmu Borgir and Behemoth are two major examples. A lot of the Satanic theme is either in reverence to Lucifer or pointing a finger at christianity and calling out the hypocrisy and the very very VERY long list of horrendous things done by christians to others and fellow christians. Listening to the lyrics and understanding the motivations behind them, it's not hard to see where the passion comes from. Any religion that calls itself peaceful is a lie. Every single one of them has butchered people for refusing to bow. Hell christians used to kill people over trivial things. Like suspecting the pretty girl of the village as being a witch because husbands had wandering eyes. Or saying that the papacy was corrupt and not actually God's spokesperson... To paraphrase a quote from a well known Satanist "Satan could have bought his way into the Church with enough money.". Most Satanic centered bands are outright vicious rejections to the tyranny that was christianity.

This song is even darker than you would think. From what I have read, the song is a reference to SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome). originally, instead of "We're off to never-Neverland" it said "perfect family never the same again". So, it's literally a song about being afraid your child will die in their sleep.

@@LanceThompsonKssooner "According to various sources (the exact figure cannot be given, because the entrance was free), on Saturday, from 300 to 400 thousand people visited the airfield in Tushino. They did not reach the Guinness Book of Records (while the record for attendance of the free Jean-Michel Jarre show in 1989 in Paris, which was attended by 1 million 300 thousand spectators, is held), but maybe this is for the best." @@roverwaters3875 and as I said...there are other sources that said 1.6 million 🤷‍♂️ It is an estimate (correction). Did my post say it was a definite headcount? It was a festival over several days with many band and basically free entrance. But thanks for quoting a guy that used no definite facts to prove your point.

Another Metallica great reaction Knox! Nobody can break down the lyrics as well as you, man. I highly recommend these 2 other Metallica songs - One and Disposable Heroes. Both are very deep lyrically and of course they are great songs. Would love to see your reactions to these ones!

It made me really happy to watch someone see Metallica with fresh eyes after enjoying their music and energy for something like 36 years. I've seen them twice live and they were the best concerts I've been to. To see your face light up when this isn't usually your type of music reaffirmed to me that i haven't been imagining how great they are all these years! Thanks :)

Glad you are keeping the rock and metal reactions going, you eyes will open to a world you will adore. If you want to check out some other Metallica mega-classics, you should react to One, For Whom The Bell Tolls, and Sanitarium. If you want to be 100% convinced that Metallica still has those metal chops check out Spit Out The Bone or Moth Into The Flame from their more recent album. And if you want a TOTAL left turn as far as what you might expect from them check out Nothing Else Matters or Until It Sleeps. As a lyricist I'm not sure how you feel about instrumentals, but you will hear few better than The Call of Ktulu and especially the amazing Orion. You got so much Metallica exploring to do, its exciting for me to take the journey with you!

The only Live shows I agree all reactors should see as it just shows the huge scale of how metal really did grip the world in these times... You see soldiers even getting into it. Just a really cool concert to react to...

They stopped counting at 1.6 million, the actual number could easily surpass 2 million. Even the soldiers who were sent in for security gave up and just enjoyed the show.

I've seen them perform this live 4 times and it is ALWAYS hits just like this ! There is nothing like Metallica live to get your blood pumping. Plus metal fans are the BEST fans. Been to The Prodigy, Robbie Williams etc and although they were good, I've never felt the atmosphere, kindness and joy to the same level as at Metallica, Guns and Roses, Velvet Revolver, Stone Temple Pilots, Slayer etc or any other metal/rock concert

You really need to check out Nightwish particularly wacken 2013 performance. The writer of the music is called the “Mozart of metal” the lead singer has literally been requested to sing the phone book and killed it! The general one people start with is “ghost love score” lots of different sounds or “Romanticide” much heavier.

I saw Metallica in a small 200 to 300 people venue during the summer and it was the best concert I have ever been too. I was coming back from a bathroom break and entered from one of the stage sides and looking out at the audience was glorious. Everyone was sweating and bare armed, lights were flashing the sun was setting and they looked like a shining, golden sea in a lightning storm. Metallica was thundering from the stage and I was shook down to my toes. ❤❤❤❤

And it's just Enter Sandman. This concert was Epic still to this day! Holds concert record in top 5 for amount of people in attendance. I Wish I could see it. That was definitely them in their prime. Or a live concert like this but after And Justice For All came out. Cause they have always been known to give songs from Multiple time periods he'll James will sometimes do Frantic and it's off worst album. Lol but Rob bass is makes it rock with drums and guitar as icing on Hard rockin song just not as complex fair basic structure but it does rock!

“Who is THAT dude? He’s having a great time. Drugs are fun!” Bro, I busted up laughing and scared my wife. Of all the reactions I’ve watched for this video, that has to be the best comment about the crowd I’ve ever heard. So here’s James talking about the show with Joe Rogan. He talks about how insane it was. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CgZxQIzoFdI.html Ok, last edit…please do Creeping Death from the same show…it’s the next song after this.
