Gypsy is quiet a successful vehicle so far as 1.Gypsy runs on petrol unlike other suv's . 2.As petrol freezes at much lower temperature than that of diesel it can be used in extremely low temperatures where other suv's just wont start. 3. It's quite a light vehicle which makes it tremendously better for all operations. 4.The model is basic so parts are easily available and repairing is also much easier. 5.Not very expensive unlinke others. Yes there are some pitfalls like the vehicle is not comfortable for long journeys but as far as the performance is concerned it the best in class. And lastly as far as this video is concerned non of your suv's will need a track to operate in desert sand guess what, thats why tanks have tracks. People should not comment on something they know nothing about.. To all those who are criticizing

Never drive in desert with full full air pressure. I have seen desert drivers deflating tyres in before they enter into desert. This will give a higher grip and tyre will not get stuck in sand.

Jipsy are always best for Indian army but now change them in another modifed vichels

am really getimg pissed of.. why Indian army still using this piece of crap in 2017 when there are enough capable localy made 4x4s available... thar.. ghurka..axe and goes the list... this cannot even house proper number of commuters... its more like a golf cart now... come on...

Indian army doesn't deserve these cheap vehicles. they should have Land Rover defender or land cruiser 70 anyway sand driving is totally different types of driving it's more technical and Tyre pressure should be 15 to 20 psi and normal drivers like these jawans face difficulty.

Indian military should use modern military vehicles like humvee and hummer. I am surprised why Indian military is using such a decades old vehicles....As an Indian citizen I don't expect India to use such vehicles.

gpsy is a waste of money terrain vehicle.. its old.. under torqued.. having a hard time to climb so petty sand dunes.. mahindra does all this with ease..
