In this series of video lectures, you will learn everything you need to know about CELPIP writing task 1, otherwise known as the Email task.
The course consists of a series of lessons, which should be viewed in sequence. In the seventh lesson, we examine the closing paragraph.
In the upcoming lessons, we will review the leave taking and signature, before moving on to examine some useful language expressions for each type of function (e.g., requests, complaints, etc.). Finally, we will end the course with some sample responses for you to model.

The closing paragraph is supposed to show your familiarity with the usual expressions that are commonly repeated by English speakers. To do this, stick to the original expressions and try not to change them too much (because the “magic” is in their fixed expression - just like with idioms and famous sayings).

Thanks for sharing. Interrupting expressions (e.g., embeddings) are a great way to demonstrate your grammatical range, but don’t overdo it.

Your statement makes sense, but it’s not a set phrase in English. If you review the (semi-)formal aspects of letter writing in any language, including your own, you’ll notice that professional/experienced writers recycle a specific set of expressions. This is for the sake of efficiency and clarity of expression. You should do the same in your own writing.

Thanks for sharing. Don’t forget the comma before “and”; Say: “Thank you so much for your mind attention to this matter,* and I…” Focus on using established collocations. Say: “Highly appreciate” or “helpful cooperation”

Make sure the closing statement matches the purpose of the email (making a request). For example, you could say: “I hope this matter will receive your immediate attention.” Or “If you require any additional information for the retrieval of this lost item, please let me know.”
