Love the build. Its a shame that modellers have to put a disclaimer up whenever a swastika is shown. It shows the sad state of the world that we live in.
Amazing, truly an incredible ship, I don't want to think what the german thought when they heard the news about her fate... Btw, could you next time do the Yamato's sistership and also a carrier, the Shinano, the Fujimi one i would recommend, since Tamiya's common Shinano is only waterline
@@KumaModels I recommend you on ebay, some people can sell it to you on 90 dollars at max (wich is crazy) but there are 3 guys who sell ot at 52 dollars or a little more, and they are from japan (presuming you are from japan, aince your name is Kuma wich is bear) The time is amazing as well, I order one on october 10 and the max time was on december 16, but it will arrive on the 23 of this month, the best part is that I'm from South America
At 1:700 scale, that's a daunting task you accomplished. Beautiful model, Flyhawk is the best warship model manufacturer at this scale I have seen to date. If there is another that's better, I would really like to know. At the moment, I am trying to acquire one of everything they have done in 1:700 scale. I am currently building the Scharnhorst 1940 deluxe edition. Deciding on the best sequence for construction and painting is most difficult. Some of the parts are so small, it's almost impossible if I choose the wrong sequence.
I’ve watched this and the PoW build and have really enjoyed both of them! Hasn’t Flyhawk made such a difference to Ship modelling? ❤️ I’m not a fan of wood decks....trying to concoct a paint colour that remains sufficiently light enough, after clear coating it though, has been a bit of a chore!!! 😎 However, I’ve just about got there! 🤪 Re the Brass Gun Barrels...I admire your patience and faith! Drilling out and replacing, without getting one, or more of them misaligned is beyond me! I’m also sufficiently Obsessive Compulsive enough, that if one of those barrels goes wrong then that’s it...fist of death for the whole kit....💀 suffice to say that my skills with the sandpaper’s are bang on 😎🤪😂 I’m hoping that Flyhawk bring out some 1/350 kits but I’d like to see you have a go at the Pontos Yamato (1/700) full Hull, etc.... ATB and I’ve subscribed.....👍🏻👍🏻
I would like to make a suggestion for a future model. Trumpeter has a series of early American battleships, ranging from early Ships like the USS Maryland, to mid-late ships like the USS Colorado, to later ships like the ISS Tennessee. I think it would be a fun and unique build. I will warn you though, they are pretty small. The round supports under the turrets (I forget what they are called” are about as big as a dime. Cheers!
Hello, excellent work, well done. I have a question what do you think of the flyhawk delux version of the Bismarck. Thank you bonjour, excellent travail, bravo. J’aurais une question que penses tu de la version flyhawk delux du Bismarck. merci
Thank you very much! I really like the delux version, it contains all the Photo Etch and metal parts to upgrade the masts and main guns. This is already enough for most people but if you want to fully upgrade the Bismarck you’ll need to buy the wooden deck and metal parts for the secondary guns separately. Overall, I would recommend the deluxe version of Bismarck but would not advise it for a 1st time builders since it may be overwhelming.
What an awesome build. quik question: did the brass barrels that you showed in the beginning and the wooden deck come in the expansion box or did you bought them separate? If the wooden deck is a separate is it worth it for a more beginner, or is the original deck of the set already textured?
Thank you very much! The brass barrels for the 10.5 cm guns were sold separately as well as the wooden deck. I like to use the wooden deck because it saves me time from masking the deck and it's like a sticker so it wouldn't be that difficult for a beginner. The wooden deck I bought also came with pre-cut masking as well. If you choose not to buy a wooden deck, the details on the deck are still very nice!
Hey I was just wondering where you can get the wood deck for the fly hawk kits specifically the 1/700 scharnhorst 1940 I’ve already built the scharnhorst in 1943 but I’d like to find where to buy the wood decks I need it for Canada
