I made this vidoe following some discussion on Smoo's live stream Saturday.I hope you get the idea on how I correct the wing box on the AMT/italeri kits.
Hello Nigel. I'd first like to thank you for sharing all those tips and tricks you use to make your models look the part, they are immensely helpful. Also, I've been thinking of getting the italeri boxing af the AMT B-52G and the resin flaps from black dog, although I'm somewhat afraid that if I follow your process of correcting the wing roots I'll end up with the resin flaps clashing with the fuselage since the wings will now droop down more. Do you think that could be an issue or maybe I'll be ok? I'm asking because I haven't committed to either the kit or the resin and I was wondering what someone with hands on experience with the AMT/Italeri kit would think. Thanks for reading, appreciate it.
To be honest, If I were you I would get one of the Modelcollect kits. For all their faults they look better than the AMT OOB. I've seen the early G built at a show and it looked pretty good.
Nigel, just found this video to how you correct the wing root issue. I bought the wing root correction kit a few years ago but fixing it your way looks a lot better than using the resin wing box correction . Please tell me what you think and always appreciate your opinion. Thanks
@@NigelsModellingBench I like the way you did it and followed your example. It looks better and is all styrene/plastic not resin. Thanks again and enjoy your monogram B-52 build 👍! Can’t wait till you do a Modelcollect B-52 build 👍
Hi Nigel. Buff master design still exists. I saw a review made by him on the modelcollect buff 2 days ago on facebook. The problem on getting the parts is paying the customs tax like when I ordered for my Bone from barracuda studios. Paid an extra 50% of the total cost of the parts. I also bought the Modelcollect buff 3 weeks ago, and I wish I hadn't... It is a nice piece of crap! There's some nice details, but the inaccuracy is overwhelming! You'll see...
