1/72 F-14A Tomcat - Top Gun - Maverick & Goose - Scale Model Aircraft 

I don't always build a Tomcat, but when I do, I build it filthy! Best build yet.

My favorite thing in your models is pre shaded mottling/marbling excellent

I really enjoy academy kits, theyre so much fun to build similarly to tamiya but with that extra level of detail, and the fit is usually no issues whatsoever and little no filling required I find, academy and tamiya are number 1 and 2 for kits IMO

I started thinking the underside weathering was a little bit exaggerated, however the end result has turned my opinion and I think you made a true masterpiece.

Nice job on the build! Just FYI, I actually have a book on flight uniforms, and what you are depicting on the uniforms is "sage green". I have found SAC Bomber Green to be an awfully close match (for future reference). I actually served on board two Nimitz-class carriers in my younger days, reporting to the first about a month after Top Gun was released. Anyway, the planes were not dirty so much, but had paint touched up due to panel removal for inspections and maintenance. The crew of the ship would sometimes be threatened with "water hours" due to the amount of fresh water used in cleaning the aircraft every day. Not criticizing your work at all, just sharing some information.

Nice piece of craftmanship. Best replica that i have seen this far. I guess it was an expensive investment to buy all the various paint and materials. My first Tomcat looks awful from the Grimm Reapers, a few weeks ago i bought me a Top Gun replica and this time i don't wanna fuck it up. 🙄

Love love love your work! The patch you have for Stay at Home is awesome. The F-14 was my favorite plane growing up. I would love to build one but I couldn't do anywhere near the level that you do. Any chance you could build an A-6 Intruder from Vietnam era? If you sell the patch let me know. Keep up the great work and videos

What a masterpiece and a realistic finish mate! the weathering is amazing for sure a reference now for everybody (included the jealous people around xD). BTW I saw you used the vallejo liquid mask, did you leave it long (>day) on the canopy?, if yes, is it not damaging it like another liquid masks (for instance h. maskol)?

I think you deleted my other comment on the F 15 eagle hahaha. I was just saying seemed like rock salt idea was a little weird..but it looked awesome. I don't have those capabilities I tried to do a marbeling spray can technique came out pretty good. Using your weathering technique. I think max after burner channel has good marbeling paint technique that looks cool for this one a sea salted plane. Your technique if was great for that darker F-15. I used alot of your techniques in my bulid I'm still working on. I gotta buy pieces at a time waiting to finish paint and get my Mr color spray cans for over coat...I have no spary gun at the moment...soon soon. I just subscribed it really relaxed me watching and learning model building. Thx brother.

Looks Great but speaking as a Navy man for 8 years we would never let one of our jets be that dirty and worn. The Navy prides itself on Naval Aviation.

Over did painting, just too much layers of varnishes. 10 times made I think? But I only see the last 3 or 4 layers of paint refleced to the final result...

F-14 crews don't let the planes get that dirty. Looks like a "Soviet" aircraft. American aircraft are "Highly" maintenanced and cleaned.

This looks great work however I have never seen a real plane look this weathered. Even gate gaurds left outside airbases. My experience it that western armed forces spend all day cleaning stuff when not bombing third world nations.
