He's not the best in the US why would he think he's the best in the world? This will only make him realize what level he needs to rise to to win a gold medal at worlds.
this was the guy Bo said in Rogan podcast that he was juiced that's why he won but all i see is impeccable skills and technique... he's not being overpowered
Doesn't matter how much juice you take, it's not going to help you perform at that level. Bo is crazy for saying that, as if American athletes are angels. No one shows more aggression and anger than American athletes, most likely due to PEDs. This Iranian wrestler had a champion father and was born into wrestling. They are technical masters.
The fact is Iran has always been a major power in wrestling. Bo is very very good. However, up to now, he has only faced college level competition. International is much deeper waters. Mind you, that doesn't mean Bo cannot be dominant internationally also. He just needs to put his college successes behind him and focus on achieving a whole new level.
@@persiancat137 It's just how it goes. David Taylor got teched by Iranian Lashgari early in his international career, and now he is easily defeating Iranian hero H. Yazdani. Just give Bo some time to grow... if he has the work ethic he will be beating all the Iranians in a couple of years just like his teammate ;)
@@tylernicholson5319 Hello no!You could not be more wrong. If u know anything about wrestling and watched the last match between Yzdani and taylor, Yazdani was all over him and should have won. He just ran out of gas. Mohammadian in Italy beat the crap out of both nickal and snyder easily. In Tokyo Yazdani will destroy taylor easily. Yazdani is named the Greatest because he is thegratest
@@persiancat137 When Taylor pinned Yazdani, I heard only excuses from all of you, and that Yazdani would smoke Taylor next time they wrestled. Then they wrestled again, and Taylor smoked Yazdani. Again you only make excuses, and say that the next time they wrestle Yazdani will destroy Taylor. Until Yazdani beats Taylor, Taylor is better than him, which means Yazdani is not the greatest. I'm sorry if I'm hurting your feelings. Even if Yazdani beats Taylor in Tokyo, he is still only 1-2 against him and would have to beat him twice more to prove that he is better.
@@tylernicholson5319 David have a size and visible conditioning edge over Yazdani. Also DT not called Magicman for nothing - for me he is best US wrestler. Bo have too big size gap- he really looks like 86 wrestler and iranian looks like natural 97
The most humbling sport on the planet. Bo has never seen competition like this in his life. Mohammadian didnt even break a sweat. He dominated at this event. Also pinned Kyle Snyder.
And all that sophisticated testing equipment couldn't tell? Same has been said about DT, but I know it's his hard work. In wrestling part of being a good sport is to take defeat like a man. No excuses. Bo will get his ass kicked whenever he goes against this guy. Just like yazdani when he wrestles DT. It's all about match ups. God bless
Mohammadian toyed Nickal like a small boy. He has got everything, talent, technique, power, balance, speed, timing, stamina... Mohammadian is the complete package. No wonder he is so much dominant. I rank him even higher than Sadulaev right now. Sadulaev has much more experience and he may have an old trick hiding somewhere though. Waiting for a possible Mohammadian-Sadulaev match in the Olympics. Great respect for Mohammadian from Turkey!
@@frenzybastard3566 Who says that? There are enough videos to evaluate Mohammadian's merits. Just watch Mohammadian pinning Snyder this January. He was leading 8-0 at the time of stoppage. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-q6JcwIhw9G8.html
No, the Iranian was out of high level competition for years due to being busted for steroids, basically 4 years of no testing, and Bo went up a weight class due to an injury. The weight class jump was 10kg I believe, so he was likely 25 pounds lighter in this match (due to weight cutting by the iranian) while wrestling fat (without cutting).
Watching bo get manhandled is refreshing... he has been doing this to people the whole time !!! It’s always good to know someone can always come along and whoop ur ass !! Humility is an amazing thing and for many won’t ever come unless they experience this !!
I had to watch this a few times, never seen Bo get beat so bad. He walked through college wrestlers like they were nothing and now this guy beats him like he's toying with Bo.
@@zagortenay33 its a region in northern iran that has a lot of good wrestling clubs and some of my favorite wrestlers are from that region but I am actually more impressed with wrestlers from other parts of iran where there are very few or No clubs at all or (even areas where the sport is not as popular) where the local wrestler trains on his own, makes the national team & becomes a world medalist, Brings joy to his whole state or region, that should be 100 times more impressive.
I don't understand people being so naive. Why believe the system blindly? The anti-doping agencies are paid and controlled by the obvious country. They catch whoever they like and don't even bother testing the protected ones. Do you believe Iran can have any kind of control over the anti-doping agencies? Can you imagine Mohammadian not getting tested and getting away with PED usage? Have a look at this. www.theguardian.com/sport/2003/apr/24/athletics.duncanmackay Carl Lewis: 'Who cares I failed drug test?' "There were hundreds of people getting off," he said. "Everyone was treated the same." Do you think the Guardian was talking out of their ass? Probably Carl Lewis juiced all his career to get an unfair advantage against his rivals and to make you believe how a great "American" Athlete he was. Sorry, if someone from the 97 kg. division would be able to cheat at the Olympics, he would be Snyder.
@@zagortenay33 i dont think so. Woman who also great "American" Athlete was even jailed (she was sprinter too) in US for PEDs. Former husband said thruth about it
He was punished for using a corticosteroid after a fracture by a doctor who was not part of sports system. It's not the same as PED by cheaters like Lance Armstrong, the American 'hero.'. It's a dubious penalty that was unfair to Mohamadian.
When was the last time an American athlete tested positive? I mean, is it all just nutrition or is there some magic juice that's not on the banned list yet? Something fishy there.
In wrestling rules the position defend on the ground the arms are to be extended, not in the body because dont let work the opponent. If you dont move the arm the referee say "open! "
After seeing Bo talk like hes the best wrestler in existence and the way he was going about saying how he's the best wrestler in the UFC this was AWESOME to see. Be a little bit more humble Mr
State sponsored juicing 😅. The Iranian guy was on the bench before this match for 5 years or so. He got popped. .... after this Rome tournament , wherever the testing was proper the Iranian could not do jack.
Dont forget people Bo Nickal 3 years ago was a natural weight 170 lb (78 kg) wrestler. Over his college career he gained muscle and won the NCAA championships in weight classes higher than that quite easily However I think 97 kg is too unnatural for him. He is very strong and flexible with incredible torque potential, but hes just giving up too much weight, at least from this match. He didnt appear to have the explosiveness in this weight as normal, nor his agility, and most importantly his flexibility. You can see that uncomfortableness right out of the gate with the stance he took at 0:08 where hes in a staggered stance supporting his and mohammadia..’s weight. He definitely doesnt seem used to supporting forces this high in a static position. Again you can see that he has less experience with battling opponents this strong at 0:42 as the counter with he tries to use to stabilize himself fails 3 times due to sheer overpowering from his opponent. I would rather see him at a slightly lower weight, because I know what he is capable of. Again you can see he is not used to getting over powered by an opponent while under a mechanical disadvantage at 1:22 where Mohammedian breaks his leverage with a back twist ( this move should in theory, not be able to out leverage an underhook of Mohammedian’s right shoulder but his strength is able to force bo submit his positioning, making space for himself) which he then immediately countered with his own grab and shortly followed with an underhook which brought bo to the mat Honestly i dont really want to make any assumptions here but bo doesnt look 97kg here ( To be frank, mohammedian doesnt either. He still looks like hes on PEDs even after that long ban he had cause that muscle mass is way too unnatural, especially for his training and diet regiment which is documented) Nevertheless I appreciated the sportsmanship displayed by both parties. Congrats to Mohammedian for a clear victory in this match, and congrats to Bo for having this video on the internet ( so he can learn from his mistakes and continue to improve). We were treated to a match here and thats what matters in the end. Love the effort, and I hope we get a rematch one day
