I’ll just say this: Calzada is a damn warrior. Any other quarterback would’ve stayed out the rest of the game after the shot he took to his lower body. He got back in the game and lead the Aggies to the upset.
That kid is definitely tough as nails. And his demeanor is just so calm and collected it's like big, bad Alabama didn't phase him. He said you guys want to get physical bring it on then.
Yeah he stepped up man. Some people will underestimate how tough that is mentally. Playing THE ABSOLUTE BEST COLLEGE FOOTBALL ORGANIZATION and he got it done. Hats off to the guy. I hope he partied hard at college station after the game was over. He definitely deserved it.
It’s funny Bama barely beats Florida and losses to an unranked A & M and people are still saying Bama will get to the playoffs because the SEC is so good. Who is left on their schedule that is any good? They out talent everybody and the only two teams that come anywhere close to their talent level they struggle against. This is a super talented team, not a great team
@@honestcomment862 they have Arkansas but lord only knows how that one will go but I think that if Georgia wins out they will have to play the SEC championship game against the dawgs.
I mean I was in the stands and I'll tell my grandkids about it. I was at the LSU game in 2018 too and thought that would be the best game I saw as a student, but I was wrong.
Been waiting for this since Johnny Football did it last. Thank God someone finally beat Alabama. I may have to become an Aggies fan now. My Hurricanes are going backwards. Good game Texas A&M, way to keep grinding.
My first A&M game, and I got to rush the field. Nothing like this fan base in all of sports. I was sitting mid level and my decibel meter read 109, so I can’t imagine the level on the field. Gig ‘em Aggies
Alabama is no longer that old physical Alabama though, they are more like a fast up tempo team like Oregon, but with elite speed on defense. No problem with that, just that they are not the old fashioned physical teams that just won by being physically tougher.
I’m not gonna lie, next to no one on campus was thinking we were going to pull off the upset, including myself. It wasn’t until this morning where I had this gut feeling that we could do it, and we did it! Hard to believe these boys overcame such adversity to do it.
@@rodrigorodriguez2609 Thank you!! Totally agree. While I was never a fan of a college kid's name and likeness being used to make money they would never see, I also don't like the idea of them not being hungry to perform well and make it to the NFL. Rat poison.
Georgia is your new #1 come tomorrow. This was the game of the year IMO, and there were so many crazy and wild games going on in college football today
This may be the best football game I've ever watched on Tele. Absolutely amazing. What a damn game... Not to mention Michigan/Nebraska, and the ND game. What a glorious Saturday night! And Im not even a football nut!
I honestly didn’t think A&M could hang with Bama. After seeing this performance they are a respectable team that came ready to play and handled the adversity very well. Congrats to them
After all the abuse that young man (Calzada) has received since taking over as QB, it was so gratifying to see him perform like a champion and lead the Aggies to victory. He played one heckuva game!
I was one of the 107,000 at this game and it was WILD. It was my first time attending an SEC game at Kyle Field (I’m an Aggie parent) and it was exactly what I had always hoped an SEC game would be.
THANK YOU TEXAS A & M even though I'm not a fan of neither team. It just goes to show SOMEBODY was paying attention to the Alabama games and used it to their advantage.
It's why you have to love college football: i have no dog in this fight, but listen to that crowd when they hit the game-winning field goal. There's no other sound like it.
We had a few Bama fans in our section, but no one gave them a hard time. I shook hands with a few after the game and they expressed what a good game it was and congratulated our team. Class on both sides.
Not really a Texas fan ...but i damn sure ain't a OU fan either. I wanted Texas to win so bad but the Aggies beating the all mighty Alabama....cough.....cough....gag gag. Was glorious.
@@mighty300il6 It felt like we got cheated by the Big 12 officials the whole game. Little to no penalties on OU. First half should have been it, we should have held that lead and kept that momentum through.
That's all the sports media idiots cared about anyway so now they'll brag about it everytime Bama plays ha ha ha ha. 😂 They didn't care about Texas beating Bama, just Jimbo beating Nicky.
I don't know anybody that cheers for Bama outside Alabama so I guess the Nation is happy 😀 congratulations to Iowa the crowd never give up I believe the biggest factor for the win
Bama fan from Mississippi here. 😁That game had me on edge especially during the fourth quarter. I was praying to God that Bama would recover that punt like they did earlier and scored a touchdown but that kicker had other plans.
@@trentonmcclintock7836 Was thinking I was the only one that caught that. Someone had way too much to drink, or is absolutely terrible at geography. Of course, the way schools are teaching now, it's not really a surprise. I've lived in Texas my entire life, and I don't believe that there is even an Iowa, Texas. Much less the entire state of Texas being Iowa. Good thing that guy wasn't here to say that in person, probably wouldn't have ended well.
When Bama was up 38-31, I literally thought the game was over and switched over to Tyson and Wilder ... man am I so mad I didn't watch till the end...Congrats Aggies!
I love to watch them fall as well... yet they always land in the top 5. Alabama needs to lose twice or they are damn near a shoe-in for the playoffs. This happens every year and not only am I sick of seeing Alabama but I fucking hate them because of it.
@@chrisbeach423 T in the middle is for Texas, a and m on the side for agricultural and mechanical Bc it was a university specifically funded with those two programs in mind a really long time ago, and it’s been growing ever since. Hope it clears it up
Thrilled to be there in person. Never will experience anything like that again. As an Aggie I will admit the team has underperformed for the last two decades (last year was great, previous years not so much despite consistent top 5 recruiting classes and a coaching budget better than most NFL teams), and yes this is just one win, but sure was a darned sweet one.
These was the best game in college Saturday no doubt there was others one like the red river rivalry Oklahoma vs Texas was good but man you can’t beat these highs an low throughout the game awesome
I moved away from my hometown a few years ago. Because of work, I don’t get to come home often. I came back in town for a wedding. My brother, my dad, and I watched EVERY play of this game at my parents’ house! We’re not fans of either team, but we were so invested in this game! One of my favorite moments of 2021!
I was watching a podcast last week and they made a statement that Alabama was ripe for the taking. I had to see it to believe it! And I did! Wow, what a fight the Aggies put up!
Being there at Texas A and M stadium when in 9th grade with my US Army Jr. Army squad watching the Aggies play the Longhorns I went on to 12th grade to play varsity football where during our homecoming game in the 4th quarter under 2 minutes with half the field to accomplish with me coming out the back field on a pitch we did well excuting the play that landed me in the end zone exactly where #1 of Alabama ending up in the corner of the endzone at 23:58 with this I had jersey #1 myself! Terrill TC!
