Alanis rocks! She writes, she composes her music and she actually sings! I've followed her career since JLP. I've grown up along her career. I've been a fan of hers since I was 20, I'm 31 now and still love her talent. Keep up the good work, Alanis, I LOVE YOU!!!
@AmbientDiversion I agree. I hate any kind of comment positive or negative on an artist looks. Thats not why they are on the screen in front of you. As far as her lyrics...I will say she is amazing but often just construct list. I think an artist deserving lyrically of that though is Ani Difranco.
Why does everyone comment on her looks? I think her lyrics are superior! Dare I say as relevantly poetic as Dylan? More fully: Her SOUND is beautiful, Messages challenging and Artistry meaningful. I can't relate to those that derive a (false) "spiritual" or "kindred" connection (to her /her songs) because of their inability to remove themselves from the sensory experience they have had with her art... I find it trite and disrespectful to the artist when people draw these connections
